(Brendon's POV)
I had spent the rest of the night thinking, my mind wandering over every bit of knowledge in my mind. I relive moments that I had with Dallon. Our first time. Our last time. While we were together, every moment I lived was for him and now there's no point. I should have known it was too good to be true. Pete told me he seemed off and I didn't listen. At this point, the memories were too damn vivid and I couldn't stop anything. Halloween, he promised me forever, early November he broke that promise and didn't even think twice. Yet it wasn't until today (February 10th) that he had decided to tell me.

Nonetheless, I'm glad he did. I'm glad he hadn't led me on anymore. I'm glad he had told before tomorrow, I had a lot of things planned for tomorrow and he didn't know what was missing.

As the clock hit eight, I picked up my phone and ran through my messages to Dallon. Every "I love you" was like a punch in the gut. The "I love you more" texts were worse, but the "I love you mosts'" were a goddamned lie that sent a nuclear bomb straight into the pit of my stomach. I deleted out conversation, I deleted the pictures of him and I tried to clear my memories of him but to no avail.

I texted Ryan

"Hey dude, I know you were over here earlier but I need your help with something. Do you think you could stop by for a few minutes?" As I hit send I wondered about where I'd be two years from now if it hadn't happened. Would we still be together? Probably not. But hopefully it would have ended in some better way than this. He hadn't technically cheated on me with Ashley, but who's to say he hadn't with someone else? Mid thought I received a text from Ryan;
"Yeah I'll be there in a few."

I grabbed a trash bag and proceeded to pile all of Dallon's belongings inside along with the gifts I couldn't pretend were from someone else. No less than ten minutes into the project there was a knock at my door followed by my father opening it and a slightly higher-than-usual-voiced Ryan speaking.

"I'm sorry is Brendon here?" He asked, his voice wavering a bit.

"Who are you?" The fake sternness of my fathers voice caused me to chuckle lightly.

"I, um- I'm Ryan sir, Brendon texted me asking me to come over to help him with something." His voice growing only slightly stronger.

"Hmmmm I don't know." He said, crossing his arms,

"Ugh, Dad calm down." I said walking to the front door and bringing Ryan inside. "We'll be in my room if you need me!" I called back

"Son?" My dad called after me, and I stopped walking.

"What's up?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

"Does Dallon know he's here?" He asked. And in that instant I realized that I hadn't informed my parents of the unfortunate events that occurred that day, genuinely surprised that the school hadn't called to inform them of the bruise I had half accidentally left of the side of Dallon's perfectly structured face.

"Uh Dad, Dallon and I broke up today. Long story, I'll explain later. Love you, I have a mission." I called, walking up the stairs and into my room, Ryan trailing directly behind me.
"So what exactly do you need help with Brendon?" Ryan asked, confused at why he had to be in my room for the second time that day.

"You are going to help me gather all of the things that Dallon gave me or things that are his and we are going to take them to him." I said gesturing to the extra-large trash bag in the center of my room.

"Okay that seems easy enough." He said before sitting on the ground by the foot of my bed.
"Alright, so any little cute gifts that you may find; like cards, teddy bears, or even rings, just ask me about it and I'll let you know on whether or not he gave it to me."  I smiled as he nodded and turned around to start dealing with the area he was in.

"Pretty much everything on the table besides the watches in the left drawer are things that Dallon gave me." I told Ryan as he started to gather cards off of the table. "You can just put all of them in that trash bag." I said pointing to the bag in the middle of my floor. He nodded, making his way over and tossing the large pile of cards in.

"I know it's not my business, but why are you getting rid of the stuff so soon? I mean he made you happy for a long time so why not just keep the stuff at least for a while?" Ryan asked still lightly piling things into the bag.

"Because I know that if I don't do it now, I'll be more upset the longer I wait." I said making my way towards my closet and grabbing sweatshirts.

"You know what Brendon?" he mumbled, grabbing a stuffed bear off of the desk and tossing it into the bag.

"Hmm?" I asked, pulling the final article of clothing out and shutting the closet door.
"I still haven't been able to wrap my head around why Dallon would ever even pretend to do something so stupid, I mean you're a great guy and I'm sure you made him happy but this is just insane, cheating is never something to joke about. And I know I'm droning on but it just baffles me." Ryan inhaled deeply as he finished, the look of stress in his eyes unforgettable.

"Ryan, I don't understand it either but there is nothing we can do about it now. What we can do however, is finish doing this and go drop it off and go get some ice cream." I winked at him, merely a friendly gesture but the blush that spread its way across his face was, once again, unforgettable.  He smiled and nodded, standing once more and going to my bookshelf.

"Anyway, what over here needs to be taken down?" He asked

"Photo album; bottom shelf, and the watch on top and then that should be it." I said picking up the last card and teddy bear from the closet. "Alrighty, you ready to go?" I asked, picking up the bag I had filled.

"Yeah." Ryan said, doing the same. We walked out of the room together, holding our respective bags and stopped in front of the door.

"Hey dad can I borrow the car for a little bit? We shouldn't be out too long." I asked, picking up the keys from the entrance table.

"Sure son, be safe, it is getting late." He said, nodding towards me.

"Yes sir." I said, opening the door for Ryan, walking out, and closing it behind me.

"Well, this is going to be fun. We'll drop this shit off and then go get ice cream, any preferences?" I asked Ryan unlocking the car.

"Definitely Cold Stone." He said smiling like a kid in a candy store at the mention of ice cream.

"We better get to it then, Cold Stone is on the other side of town." I laughed, turning the radio up and pulling out of the driveway. "I guess It's Now or Never I suppose." I said as we took off towards Dallon's.
