The walk up to the office was long and quiet, my thoughts consuming me as I tried to picture this Ashley girl. I know I had heard the name before but never in person, perhaps she was in a friend's class.

And, if I'm being completely honest with myself, I had a feeling there was something wrong with mine and Dallon's relationship. He had stopped coming to my house as often, he had barely texted me and it hurt. I was used to getting dumped but being cheated on was a whole new pain and I didn't like it at all.

I stopped outside the office and took a deep breath, opening the heavy door and stepping inside. There was a young man sitting next to an older woman, must be a new student.

"Hey Ms. Gunn, what's up?" I asked, cheerfully, hiding the heartbreak

"Oh yes, Brendon, we have a new student." She replied, gesturing to the young man seated behind me. "He's a senior like yourself and you two practically have the same schedule, so I would like you to show him around and tell him where his classes are and keep him out of trouble." She smiled at me.

"Alright sounds good." I said, grabbing the slip of paper from her hands and walking over to the young man with a smile.

"Hey, I'm Brendon, I'll be showing you around to all your classes." I extended my hand as he stood up and took it.

"Hey Brendon, I'm Ryan, Ryan Ross."
