Maria's POV

So, a man shoots me in the head all the sudden. I see a boy scream, then he became engulfed in flames. "Another runt, I'll just take care of you then!" The man who shot me in the head said. The boy suddenly looked at my head, then he smiled. I realized he must of saw the green liquid coming out of my head. It seems like he recognized the liquid, and knew I wasn't dying. "Well, well, well, seems like you've underestimated this girl here. Now, show them what you can actually do." "Sure thing." I said smiling back. "AAAHHH!" I yelled, ice shooting out of myself in the mans direction. The man fell down, ice stuck in his back. The boy leaned against the wall and said "Well now, I've finally met some one like me. Nice to meet you, I'm Luke.". "What do you mean by like you?" I questioned. "You're immortal, you don't bleed, only the green liquid comes out." He said calmly. "So you're immortal too?" I asked. "Yes, yes I am." He answered. "Would you like to meet me here again tonight?" He questioned. "I guess, but why?" I asked back. "Because I have a question to ask you, but I have to go, so I can't ask it now. See ya!" He answered, then started to run away. "See you later!" I called back. Well that was weird, I thought. I thought I would be alone forever, no one like me, but I just met someone like me, like it was a miracle or something.

**Later that night**

I walked back to the alleyway, where I met the boy named Luke. "Oh, hey, you're here." A voice called. I guessed it was Luke, and I was right. "Hey." I said back. "Now, about that question." He said. "Yeah what is it?" I asked quietly. "I know this is crazy and out of the blue, but I've heard about so many mythical creatures, and monsters. And I wanted to ask you if you wanted to find them with me?" He asked. "Well, ok. I mean, we're immortal, so we can't die while searching for these creatures, so yes." I answered excitedly. "Awesome, I bet it'll be fun, because you seem like an awesome person" he said smiling. I blushed furiously. "Thank you" I said looking at him happily.
