Tyler's POV
"WHAT???" I said surprised as ever. The black half sphere started to glow, and the egg started to hatch! "Raaaaaa" the baby dragon said. "Indeed it is a Shadow Dragon" I said trying to stay calm. "Well, really, congrats" Maria said calmly. "I guess I get to experience what having a dragon is like." I said, excited inside. "Raaa, Raaa, Raaa" the dragon said to us. "Wait, wait, I think I can hear it through my mind, but since it's so young, it can't say much." I explained. In my mind I heard "Food". "Hey, Maria, I think it wants food." I said. Right when I said "food", the dragons ears perked up. "Alright, I'll go find some." I said, dashing out to find some food. A few minutes later, I came back with some steak. "Where'd you get that?" She asked very curiously. "I found a cow, and I roasted it, because it seems that catching things on fire is one of the things I do best." I remarked. "Well isn't that a nice quality to have, when you freeze stuff like me" she also remarked. "Alright let's feed this dragon" I said, determined to take care of this dragon. I turned around, to only see that the dragon did not want the meat, it looked at our shadows, and our shadows disappeared! "Oh, yeah, stupid of me. Shadow Dragons only eat shadows" I said remembering. "I guess we'll have to find a place to stay here, maybe the cave?" I suggested. "Sure" Maria said, and the dragon nodded. But I noticed before we went into the cave, the dragon had grown significantly bigger, bigger than a "toddler" dragon should be. Then I reminded myself, it eats shadows, so it must of ate ours. But still. I wonder........
