Luke's POV

The girl smiled at me in the alleyway.

"By the way, I never got your name" I said to the girl. "Maria" she said. "Well then, when should we go?" I asked her. "I think, tomorrow at 5:00 a.m." She answered. "That's fine with me" I said.

**The next morning**

I came to the alleyway at 5:00 in the morning, and of course, Maria was there. "Ready to go?" I asked. "Yes, let's go, I'm really excited!" She said happily. "Ok, let's see if you can catch me, race you to the Dark Cavern!" I said, taking off running. She broke into a run also. (The Dark Cavern is said to be a place where a dragon egg is hidden. But since it's the Dark Cavern, it is said that the egg, is a Shadow Dragon egg.) Once we got there, I realized she beat me. "Wow, you are definitely fast" I remarked, out of breath. "Now, this cavern is supposed to have a Shadow Dragon egg inside, and whoever touches the egg will have a black, half sphere on their palm forever, to show that the dragon is yours." I explained. "Of course not just any person can touch it. The dragon inside the egg has to like the owner, so we just have to hope the dragon likes one of us." I said, trying to boost our confidence. "Ok, let's do this" she said excitedly, and took off towards the cavern. "Wait up!" I called to her. When we were inside, I saw the egg, so smooth, no bumps or edges, a perfect sphere. "Well, Maria, I think you should try first" I said to her coolly. "Ok, sure" she said back, I could tell she was excited. She held her hand out, but darkness covered her hand and pushed it away. "I'm sorry, I really am" I said trying to cheer her up. She didn't look sad though. All she said was "Well, now it's your turn". "Ok" I said holding my hand out. The darkness covered my hand, but it didn't push it away. It actually pulled my hand toward it! I touched the stone, and pulled it away fast, realizing that my hand, had a black half sphere on it. "WHAT????" I said, as surprised as ever.
