I felt ice in my veins instead of the intense heat, freezing me in my place. I couldn't move, couldn't run. It was like the man had cast a spell on me, warping everything. It was a rush of energy that pulled me under.

I hated it.

"Cuff her," his voice called out, the deep vibrations startling me. I blinked rapidly, unable to stop the onslaught of emotions. They coursed through my veins, spreading like a disease. It felt like I was being pulled in and pushed out at the same time. I watched cautiously as one of the men stepped forward, his exotic lavender eyes focused on me. There was something in his gaze that told me he wasn't going to hurt me, that I was safe. The wolf inside me accepted what was happening, calming my nerves. He pulled the shirt off his body, slipping it past my head and arms. I felt something then, something that told me he was someone I could trust, someone I had to let in. The whispers agreed softly, telling me to allow lavender eyes to get close. I let him grasp my wrists, slipping metal cuffs over them, sealing my fate. The contact burned, but I held my composure. The pain was nothing compared to what I felt when I looked into those forest green eyes.

Lavender eyes nodded at me, a silent assurance. I held my breath as the alpha walked past me, casting my eyes down. I had been taught about alphas, but our information ranged close to nothing. They were a complete mystery. We only knew they were in charge of everything, that they rule the pack. I didn't know how I knew that the strange man was the alpha, I could just feel it. His power came off in angry red hot waves. It pulsed, like a heartbeat and everyone else responded. As if they were one. Maybe they were, I wondered silently. Moving in the direction we came, I let out my breath. The whispers disappeared, leaving an empty silence in my head. I looked around, noticing the sun was starting to set, casting a ray of light across the forest. It was heavenly sight, tiny white flecks floating all around. The warm air breezed by my face, like a soft embrace. I clenched my cuffed hands, the skin around the cuffs raw and burnt. I realized then that it was wolfsbane burning into my skin. We had a large greenhouse, specifically made for growing large amounts of wolfsbane. We made it into bullets, spray, pills. I had always tended to the garden, and now the wolfsbane I grew could be used against me. For some reason that made it all that more real. I was a werewolf. I was what I had been trained to kill. I looked at lavender eyes who walked beside me, stoic as ever. I wondered what they thought of me.

"she doesn't seem that bad"

I blinked in confusion, the voice a distant echo in my head but still there. The wolf perked up, listening closely. I looked to my right and my left, confused. Who had said that? I tried to hear for more, but it was radio silence. Whatever it had been, whoever it had been, I don't think I was meant to have heard it.
