A/N -- I probably should be doing homework, but I really felt like writing some more. So, here's a super early update for you!

The next morning, I wake up and look in the mirror. Ugh, these past few days have taken a toll on me. I look like a monster. Of course, that's how I usually look in the mornings. Yesterday, I would have just went back to bed, but I feel like finding Dad's notebook has given me a boost of hope. I guess I'll give today a chance.
I brush my long brown hair and put it into a bun. Pulling on some leggings and a dark navy sweatshirt, I realize that I haven't seen any of my friends in days. After Dad disappeared, I shut myself away. Well, it is a school day, but I could try texting them. I pick my phone up from my bed and start a message to Talia, my best friend.
Dilan - Hey Talia...
Talia - Dilan!!!!!!! Ur alive! :)
Dilan - Sheesh, it's only been a week.
Talia - A very, very, very long week
Dilan - So anyways
Dilan - U wanna meet up after u finish with school?
Talia - Absolutely positively yes!
Talia - Maybe at that new smoothie place...
Dilan - What new smoothie place?
Talia - See, that's what u miss in a week ;)
Dilan - Just shut up and send me the directions.
Talia - U know u love me <3
Dilan - Whatever...
I do love Talia, no matter how much she annoys me, but sometimes she gets too crazy. Like this one time, I was picking out supplies for a project at a craft store, and she came to me with a cart full of glitter, and I don't mean twenty or so bottles. The cart was filled to the rim. We spent half an hour putting them all back, and at least five broke open and spilled everywhere. Talia is a nutcase.
I have five hours until school gets out, so I decide to busy myself. I debate on reading more of the letters, but I don't think I can handle them yet. My room is a mess, so I start to clean it up.
Finally, an hour later, I'm done with my room. I tidied up the floor and organized my closet and my desk. Since I have nothing else to do, I snuggle up in bed to take a nap. However, Dad's notebook, which I put under the pillow last night, pokes my head. Well, it seems like the universe wants me to read it. I pick up the book and start where I left off yesterday.

Dearest Dilan,
Your mommy and I finally decided on a name. Dilan Grace Everly. A beautiful name for a beautiful daughter. Today you slept a lot. Babies don't really do much, but that's okay. You didn't have to do anything to capture my heart. I love you to the moon and back, sweet darling. I can't wait to see what your life will have in store for our little family.
I love you so much,
Your Dad
I should have waited. I miss my dad so much. These letters are torture to me, reminders of when he was still here.
I put the notebook in my junk drawer in my desk. There it will stay, until I need it again. I pull out my headphones and disappear in the music, forgetting about all worldly troubles.
At least for now.
A/N -- So it's another chapter... it feels weird to update so soon. I still am trying to find a cast for this book. Any help is greatly appreciated! This chapter is much longer than the last one, about 200 words more I think. Sooooo, I'll see when I can update next, but until then, au revior!
P.S. Don't be a silent reader! Let me know what you think! :)
