Spencer's POV

I woke up and I was not at Kazs' house. I was ina cave where stalactites hung from the ceiling from every angle. I was afraid one of them would fall off and hit me in the head. I got up and leaned against the wall becoming dizzier as I walked.

I saw a cave entrance to another part of the cave. I was about to go around the corner when I stopped dead in my tracks. I heard a loud and rumbly voice.

The voice said, "we will keep him hear until he recovers, we may have him for dinner if he doesn't obey."

I heard a squeaky voice say, "yes! Good idea Nightling! That would be pleasing to our master! He has not had a renegade in centuries!" There was that word again, renagade, what's a renagade?

"And if he is what the other monsters have been talking about master will be very pleased. But I have lost his safe havens scent so I cannot find the rest of them, I will just have to pressure him. We will go out and be friendly with him and make him think we are cooperating until we catch him up and eat him!" Nightling said. What a stupid name.

I didn't need to hear anymore to know that I needed to get out of here, and fast! I ran around the cave and I couldn't find an exit, the only other place I could look was, oh no. I walked back to where I had been eavesdropping and looked around the corner. Surely, the monsters were still there, they were big hairy creatures with feet like talons and tongues like a snake, it kept flicking its tongue around. Right behind them I saw light, It must have been the way out.

To just walk out there would be suicide. That was not an option. I walked back to the area I had awoken. How long had I been out? I just then remembered my newly made friends, even though I barely knew them I had to get back to them and let them know I was OK. How did I even get here?

I scanned the area for a something, anything, I could make that would be a distraction. A pebble wouldn't work. Then I heard footsteps.

"Hello! We are the very friendly err Monsters." Nightling said. I turned around and they were both there. At least 8 feet tall, I knew they weren't friendly but I had to go along with it to get out.

"Uhh h-hi. Where am I?" I started out with.

"Well you of course at—" the other monster was saying but he was cut off by Nightling.

"Shut up Macer!" Nightling yelled at him. "I'm sorry Spencer, that was rude of me. Will you join us for dinner?"

"Y-yes I will." I had to say yes to get more information about myself and this so called safe haven for whatever renagades are. "But how did you know my name?"

"W-we are uhhh old friends of you! Don't you remember!" Macer yelled. I knew he was lieing. "Now no more questions."

"Yah, old friends." I muttered to myself.

"Follow me to the kitchen." Nightling waved his hand for me to follow. He had that I'm-lieing-to-you-but-don't-worry-your-gunna-die-anyways look on his face, If that was even a face you could make.

I followed him through the cave. It looked like a cave ready to collapse. To escape the main thing I need was something sharp. I had an idea.

"You should help me cook. You are going to be very, useful." Nightling said as he licked his lips.

I was three feet smaller then him. The counter was tall and their was this huge pot on a huge stove. He got out knifes. I could use it to stab him, not that I wanted to kill but it was the only way I could get out before they gut me like a fish.

He turned the fireplace on. He didnt even turn the stove on though.

"Hey, I thought you were cooking." I told him.

"Oh we're cooking something alright." Nightlong said.

"Let's sit." He patted on a chair beside him. I sat down cautiously being ready for anything. "I have questions before we eat. Where are you from? What's your name? Do you feel special?"

"Uhh, I don't know, Spencer Wallace, and no." I thought.

"Tell me! I know you are the one!" He pounded his fist on the table. I jumped out of my seat in fear. "Sit!" He shoved me in my chair clicked a button and I was strapped to the seat.

"I don't know who I am! I'm not special! Now let me go! You big ugly hairy bird snake!" I kicked and yelled but I wasn't getting anywhere. I saw the knife reflection and I knew I had to grab it but my arms were strapped to the chair.

"You don't know who you are? Well, might I just say your will bring our destruction. I would hope we could cooperate but I guess not!" Nightling yelled.

"It's fine, welcome to the main course!" Nightling said. "Your in it!"
