Ysabelle's POV

White walls. Tubes connected to me. Beeping sound. Those are the things I can see and observe around me and a nurse checking on me right now. Then, when I see beside me, is my mom wearing a somewhat of a lab gown and a mask on her mouth while crying.

I try to recollect of where am I, what am I doing before I'm here in the hospital.

Then and there, I remember that I was on my way  from a hectic day in the studios to my boyfriend, Ethan, to give him a little surprise on his birthday but I found him cheating on me when I got there. So, I stormed out of that living hell. When I successfully made home, I runned on the other side and was hit by a speeding car. I was unconscious since then. So, I just woke up now?

"Mom" I say, so I can ask her, and she didn't budge

"Mom, i'm here. I'm awake" I say, a little bit louder, and finally she looks up after weeping beside me. She meets my gaze and I extend my right arm to her but instead of being surprised of me waking up, she just stares at me, leans over and kisses my forehead and proceeds to go outside.

Why didn't she hear me?

Why can't she hear my voice calling her?

Why didn't she see me?

I tried to sit up but was surprised when the tubes connected to me didn't go with me or even my body. I stand up and stand up beside the bed and stare at my unconscious body lying on the bed. Weird

I, then planned to proceed outside. When, I reach the doorknob, it just go through it, and I can't turn the knob. I tried to push myself on the door and was surprised to go through it also. What's happening?

Then, there's a man coming my way, I just look at him, and he smiles at me. He can see me? He reaches to where I stand and stop infront of me.

"How are you, Ysabelle?" he says

"You can see me?" I ask pointing my index finger to my chest

"Of course I can"

"Why can't they see me? Especially my mom awhile ago?"

"Oh, that. You are really a newbie here. You're a ghost now" he answers casually like he's done this reply to anyone before, he then pauses and  continues "Look at your body" he finishes and I turn my body, or should I say soul, to look at my body.

She's still there. Tubes connected, eyes closed and still unconscious.

"Who are you?" I ask

"Let's just say, i'm your guardian for your trip up there" he says while pointing his index finger upwards

"What?"

"Up there. Heaven. But before you can go there, you need to accomplish tasks here in the world"

"I can't"

"You should"

"I really can't"

"They'll understand, don't worry"

"What tasks do you mean?"

"Help the living because you still haven't completed the good deeds you made here on earth, that's your task, so you can come with me up there"

"Okay. But how?"

"Your choice. As long as, you're doing good deeds here on earth" he explains and turns his back to me

"Where are you going?"

"Somewhere out there. To fetch someone, because he completed his tasks here on earth. I'll see you soon" he says and walks to the hallway of the hospital.
