Hanji x Levi (Staying Strong Till The End)

Stitches

*Hanji's pov*

I must have passed out whilst riding back home on Petra's horse . I was woken up in my subconscious to some one shouting at me "Hanji just remain still you're going to be fine" I wasn't sure what they were talking about then a huge sharp pain hit me. It hit me over and over again each time it seemed to hurt more than the previous time. I wanted to scream but I couldn't make a noise not even in my head. I could feel small streaks of blood falling down my side. "How is she?" I heard someone ask, I could tell it was Levi asking.
"She's flinching and breathing okay, she's still with us" Petra told him.
I then felt someone hold my hand and tell me "You're going to be fine Hanji don't worry"
I wanted to tell them that I was hurting but I was okay. However I couldn't even open my eyes they felt like they had been clamped shut.

Around half an hour passed and I heard Petra leave which just left me and Levi alone. He was talking to me about things that happened on the mission but I wasn't really listening. Finally I felt my eyelids sperate from one another and slowly my vision returned. "Hanji just stay still" he told me.
"What's happening?" I asked him. "I felt alot of pain"
"We had to stitch you back up, your wounds were very deep" he told me. But he then let go of my hand and sat back in his seat. "You scared the shit out of the cadets the way your corpse was clinging onto Petra"
"She couldn't help that" I heard someone pipe up across the room. I looked over at them but I couldn't see them as I could only see blurs. My hand reached out and I managed to find my glasses so I could see who they were. I put them on and saw Erwin standing in the corner.
"Good to see you back with the living Squad Leader" he smiled at me.
"Glad to be back" I smiled at him. I tried to look down at my wound to see the stitches but they had put a lot of cloth onnthe way so I couldn't see. "Who stitched me up?" I asked as I wasn't aware of anyone here having medical knowledge.
"Well it was going to be one of us but Molblit said that he knew how to stitch people up, so you have him to thank" Erwin told me.
Molblit of all people was the one to stop me from bleeding out, I thought I knew him but I guess that even the people you think you know can suprise you.
"You know I was sort of hoping that we would finally get some peace and quite around here if you went" Levi said far too casually.
"You know you would miss me if I was gone" I smiled at him, I could tell je didn't mean it as he often said hurtful things he didn't mean to me. He just sighed and looked away from me, I could tell he was worried about me eventhough he would never of admitted it.
A knock came at the door and Petra along with Oluo walked in.
"Hanji your awake" she smiled at me, "how are you feeling?"
"I've felt better not going to lie" I told her.
"What's wrong Petra?" Asked Erwin getting straight to the point.
"Oh the cadets need to see you" she told him.
Erwin let out an annoyed sigh and the said "Okay I will come down and I'll leave Levi to look after Hanji"
The three of the walked out and Petra called back "I will see you two soon" she then shut the door. I wasn't sure why Oluo came along with her maybe he was curious to what was happening with us.
I lay and looked at the ceiling and there were a few moments of silence before Levi asked "What did you want to tell me?"
I froze as I had forgotten about my dream that I was desperate to tell Levi about. "I had a really realistic dream whilst I was lying on the ground, in my dream I was giving birth to a child" I then paused and Levi looked down at me slightly confused so I continued "she was really beautiful and I felt something I had bever felt before, but she was your child" I said as I broke off eye contact "I know that it wasn't real but it's funny to think about how the human mind wonders  when you are in a life or death situation" I tried to laugh off.
Levi was silent and I felt slightly akward for telling him my dream so I quickly added "I know that it won't become a reality but I really want you to have a family at some point"
He still didn't say anything but after a few minutes he said "I thought that it would have been something more important than that Four-eyes"
"That was honestly the most important thing to me at the time, and I think that was the only thing keeping me from giving up" I said and I could feel myself getting embarrassed by what I had said.
He sighed and stood up and came over to me before kissing me on the head and walking out of the room. I didn't even have time to ask him anything before he left.

I was shocked as I wasn't sure why he kissed me and if it was in a friendly way or in a more love way. I was confused but I was glad I told him about my dream.
I really did like him but I wasn't really even sure how I felt about him. We had always had a love hate relationship but in the end I would always be there for him.
