Chapter 8

I woke up to the sun streaming through my room. I glanced beside me where Lydia was sleeping in her pink dress. I was still in my dress. I stretched with a yawn. I grabbed my phone checking the time. I read the time was 12:04pm. I  rolled out of bed walking to my dresser I grabbed a pair of navy blue soffe shorts and a black Framing Hanley band T-shirt. I walked out to the bathroom running straight into Tate.

"Do you ever watch where you walk Erin?" He asked. I rolled my eyes looking up at him. A grin appeared on he's face. "Don't grin at me. It's too early for you to come up with a way to mess with me today." I said. He laughed.

"To early its noon already." He stated I pushed him aside walking into the bathroom. I walked out of the bathroom running into Tate again. "Watch where you’re going." He said.

“Then don't run into me." I stated. I walked to my room. Lydia was just getting up. "What time is it?" She asked. I grabbed my phone off my dresser checking the time. "12:20" I stated.  "12:20! I was supposed to call mom and dad at 10. Shit! Where's my phone?" Lydia yelled jumping out of bed and digging through her bag.

"Shit mom and dad have called me 6 times!" She stated pulling her iPhone out of her bag. She started dialing. Next thing I knew her phone was against her ear walking into my closet. She closed the door to the closet.

I stood in the middle of my room dumb founded. My 12 year old let me repeat that MY TWELVE YEAR OLD little sister. Just used shit twice and pulled out an iPhone and the fact that she was in my closet was surprising. When I was twelve I wasn't allowed to cross state lines or spend more then a night at a friend’s house. The fact that when I was fourteen I had to work to get a cell phone and it was a crappy flip phone.

Lydia came out of the closet I must have had a weird face expression because she said "What?"

"Nothing, you want to go get some breakfast?"

"Yeah just let me get dress." She said

"See you downstairs." I said she nodded. I opened my room door to see Khrystal standing right in front of my door with her hand ready to knock. She waved her hand. "Morning." She said

"Morning." I replied Khrystal stepped back giving me enough room to close the door. "So guess what today is?" She asked I started walking away. "You're still mad at me aren't you?" she asked. I nodded my head walking down the stairs. "Erin I'm sorry! Please forgive me." She said from the top of the stairs. I ignored her and walked to the kitchen.

I looked at the coffee pot and I glanced over to the person standing in front of it. Tate was in he's boxer with no shirt. He smiled. "Hey Erin."

"Hi Tate." I said moving him away from the coffee. “You could say excuse me." He said.

"Not in the mood."

"Oh someone's grouchy this morning. Why so grouchy Erin?"

"I don't know maybe because your sister's a bitch."

"Oh I know that what she do this time?" He asked with a smile on he's face.

"What part of I'm not in the mood do you not understand?" I turned around to see Lydia in a pair of shorts and a blank white T-shirt. "You know what Lydia me and you are going to go out and eat." I said grabbing my car keys and walking towards the door. I didn't care if I looked like a mess I just didn't want to be in the Armstead house anymore. We drove to Benny's diner.
