Chapter 7
The blinding lights which greeted me a few days back greeted me again as I opened my eyes. I could draw out a few blurred faces peering over me with worried expressions. Again, things gradually got clearer and I was surprised to see the first face looking worriedly at me.
Jenna Roberts. My mother.
“JENNY IS AWAKE! JAKE, CALL THE DOCTOR! JENNY, CAN YOU HEAR ME? Jenny, I’m so sorry baby! I’m such a bad mother that you wanted to leave twice! I’m so sorry baby! The hospital called me, Jake told me everything. I’m so sorry! I’ll break everything with Roger if he won’t accept you, honey. Just hold on okay? Stay alive for me, please baby!” she said as she hugged me and cried.
Happy tears were bubbling up my eyes. I can’t believe this. My mother was worried of losing me. My mother loves me.
The doctor quickly rushed in and checked on me. I was declared fine, except that I might occasionally feel drowsy due to the drugs for the next few days. My mother and Jake came at me and I didn’t wish for anything better.
I have them hugging me here on the hospital bed. The two people I loved.
