The coffee had now gone cold. Athena sat in her regular seat in the costa coffee opposite her apartment. She usually sat here with Zac.

The simple thought of him, sent a chill down her back. How he always threw his head back in laughter when she got coffee on her nose.

Nearly three years worth of a relationship had been ended in a brief meeting.

Athena didn't want to remember, but it was hard to forget. Maybe Zac could shrug her off his mind, and she could try. Although she had feelings for him and they were difficult to loose.

The shop bell rung as someone stepped out of the cold street into the warm shop. Athena looked up, hoping to see Zac. Hoping to see him run to her and wrap her up in his arms saying he was sorry.

No such luck, it was Tess.

Tess was Athena's guardian angel, fairy godmother and best friend. Just as expected Tess shuffled to Athena; who sat slumped in her chair. She hugged her tightly "Awe, Thea. That Zac didn't deserve you." She was sympathetic.

Hurriedly Tess moved a chair to Athena's table, making a racket as it scraped along the floor. "Look Thea, there are plenty other good fish in the sea" she said rubbing Athena's back softly.

Athena's throat bobbed "I know, I have to try and forget" she replied in a firm voice. Tess and Athena's eyes met and instantly Athena's eyes began to water. "Three years!" She exclaimed "I devoted myself to him and then he has the cheek to turn around and say I can't commit anymore!" In such a rage Athena didn't realise that she had knocked down her coffee which now spread across the floor. The smell wafted upwards as Athena hugged Tess closely.

Tess smiled softly, "Why don't we get you home, and then I can tell you a little secret"

With that the two girls got up leaving the coffee spilt over the floor, and out the door.
