I wanted to be a better father, be a better son
Wanted to dance all night till I saw the sun... wish I could've been there for my baby girl,
Wish your mama didn't push me against the world. Things used to be so happy had brighter days. Till your mama tried to take her life away, never knew her mind could be so dark. Baby know that it broke your daddy's heart.
You where only 2 when you had to move. You and your mama's house kept getting broken into,
Decided to move into her family's house. Thought it was the only way to get you out of this shit life, we hadn't planned for you, baby know I only wanted the best for you.

Ya see, when you where 5, mommy didn't have time for my games,she was mad because I had fame,writing songs for big artists everyone knew my name , didn't have time for you or your mom,
Maybe that's what had made her strong.
Couple weeks later I had to move away never seen you or your mom she was done with my games. Then You guys where always on the move. Never got a call. Sometimes I even had thought I lost you.

Years later your mom gave me a call said she's abouta lose it all. Rushed over to your house In a couple days , my mind was In such a blurry haze,
Made it to your house you where sound asleep, and that's when your mom broke out the news to me,
She's sick, only gotta couple weeks to live,
She wants you to be with me, but I told her my life isn't good for a 12 year old to live, but I'm the only family you got. So I guess your moving in.
