Everything was dark. Darker. Yet darker... You didn't know what to think about it. It hurt your eyes to look at it but you had no choice. It was everywhere you looked, it was everything you felt, the only thing you could do was float. Or was it falling? You couldn't tell up from down or right from left. So you floated, fell, whatever you wished to call it, for a long time. Nothing happened for days on end. Until a voice called out to you,

"What an interesting soul, purple and green..." The voice seemed to come from everywhere yet nowhere at the same time. It hurt to hear it. It sounded like atoms themselves being ripped apart yet like being laid in a soft blanket. You didn't know what to make of it. You tried to open your mouth to respond but when you did nothing came out.

"Don't try to talk child. You'll only hurt yourself more then you are just by being here." A sharp pain came from your chest suddenly and a heart shaped... thing was floating there in front of you. It was a mixture of green and purple. Normally you wouldn't see those two colours mixed together because normally they didn't mix well, but in this little heart, they danced together perfectly. Like it was a match made in heaven. You were covered in a soft glow that seemed to be coming from the heart shape.

"This is your soul. Everything that makes you-you is in this little, fascinating, shape. Within this soul is your past, future, your achievements, your failures, your everything! But most importantly, your magic. You my dear are a mage, witch, whatever you wish to call it. A rare, but powerful,    individual that can tear down mountains and put up bearers. You, my dear, are the key to getting me out of this void." As the voice spoke a dark shape covered your soul. You were scared and reached out to protect it but you couldn't move. You could just see a fraction of your soul through what seemed to be an oval shape. A scream pierced the void when something touched your soul. All you could feel was the pain. Everything hurt.

"Wake up child. Go, and find my son." The voice said as your eyes rolled into the back of your head and you passed out.

You suddenly sat up with a gasp. Everything still hurt but was much less then it was in that void place. It took a minute to calm your raging heartbeat but when you did you managed to look around. This was not your room. This was not your house! Where the fuck are you! You yanked the covers off of you and stood up. That's when the cold air hit your legs and you looked down. You weren't wearing pants... Why weren't you wearing pants? All you had on was a long shirt that came just below your 'privet area'. You pulled it down as much as you could (which didn't do much at all) before looking around the room again. Most of it was boxes. Lots and lots of boxes. Thankfully which were labelled, so you quickly found one labelled 'clothes' and tore it open. It took you a minute but you found a pair of basketball shorts that had drawstrings on them. You yanked them on before pulling the drawstrings tight around your waist so they wouldn't fall off. Even if they came to the middle of your shins it did cover you so you were happy. Well, that was until you remembered that you were in fact not at your house. So you quickly walked over to the door, stepping over many scattered ketchup bottles. After picking your way through the minefield you had made it to the door. You were a bit hesitant to open it. What was behind this door? What if it was some crazy murder or a rapist? You didn't know any self-defense or anything... Maybe you should find a weapon? You shook your head at the thought. You never were a violent person at heart, even if you made a few treats here and there. So you decided against it. If you really needed to you could always put up that wired shield thingy. Now that you thought about it you had no idea how. Oh well. Here goes nothing. You opened the door and stepped out.
