Sans laid his skull on the cool hickory wood of the bar. One hand clenched around a ketchup bottle and the other in his pocket holding a bracelet. He made it a long time ago down in the underground, just like all the others did. Hoping that one day they would find their soul mates... Most never did and they died alone. A few lucky ones did find their soul mates and lived happily with them. Now that Sans had found his, half of him was jumping for joy, while the other half wanted to go jump off a bridge. He couldn't stop blaming himself for what had happened, even though many monsters had tried to calm him down and told him he had no control over it. He was a jumble of emotions and couldn't let it go! Why couldn't he let it go! He didn't even notice when he had squeezed the ketchup bottle so hard that ketchup flew everywhere. When he finally looked up he dropped the now empty bottle and shoved away from the bar, knocking the stool over in the process, before storming out of Grillbys. No one made a move to stop him or even got up, they just watched him leave. Sans opted out just teleporting home and stormed his way down the streets until a sudden pain erupted from his soul. He stumbled in an ally way and leaned against a wall as he clutched his chest in pain.

"D-Damn it... What is this!" Sans whispered to himself. It was more painful than anything he had ever felt, including being turned to dust by Chara. His left eye suddenly flared with blue fire that lit up the whole ally. Only one thing was on his mind, someone had hurt his mate.

You slowly made your way down the hall, overhang, terrace thing and looked at everything you could see. Trying not to look at the carpet (it gave you a headache) you made your way downstairs. You could hear a soft humming coming from what looked like the kitchen. You quietly tipped toed to the door that (hopefully) lead outside, all the while keeping your eyes on the kitchen. You couldn't see who was in it but you silently went to the door.

'Please don't notice me, please don't notice me.' You kept chanting in your head as you reached for the door nob, only to have it thrown open in front of you. The door just missed your nose as you yelped in surprise and fell back onto your butt.

'Owww... that's going to hurt for a bit.' You mentally said as you looked up in shock. Standing in front of you was a big, blue... fish?

"Hey! You're that punk that saved the king!" It... She? shouted and pulled you to your feet. She firmly shook your hand, and by firmly I mean it felt like she was going to break it. She stopped as a tall skeleton came out from the kitchen.

"UNDYNE! PLEASE DON'T BREAK THE DOO... OH, I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE UP HUMAN! I WOULD HAVE MADE YOU SOME FOOD!" The tall skeleton yelled as he rushed over to you and started to talk to Undyne. If yelling at each other could be counted as talking. You were very confused about what was going on as it was.

"Um... hey... do either of you know where I am by any chance?" You quietly asked, sadly neither of them seems to hear you over their shouting. Suddenly the hairs on your arms stood straight up as your vision snapped to blue. The same blue from before when your mother had attacked you. You felt yourself being pulled into someone's chest. Anger that wasn't even yours flooded your system as the arm around you held you softly and a large hand rested on your cheek. You stared into the eye sockets of Sans as he moved the hand through your hair before gently gripping a fist full at the base of your neck. His words were deep and slow as if he was trying to hold back.

"Who hurt you." was all he said as he rested his forehead against yours, which was quite the feat considering the height difference.  You both seemed to be breathing in time with each other as you closed your eyes for the moment.
