"He told me we meant nothing to him, Lilly. We meant nothing..." I shook my head and started to cry.
"I'm living with him, Katie; I want to be with him." she said.
I got up and walked to my car, then got in. I drove to Linda's house, parked in the driveway, and went up to the door, still crying.
"Coming." Linda said, sing-songy.
She opened the door and saw me crying. So, she pushed me inside, up to her room. She shut the door and gave me a look. I knew that look. It was, 'tell me or I'll pry it out of you.'
"My mom and dad are getting a divorce, cause my dad cheated on my mom, with her best friend, and Lilly wants to go with dad." I said yellin' it out fast.
She looked at me apologetically and sat beside me.
"Honey, I'm so sorry..." she trailed off.
"I have an idea don't move," she ran downstairs.
About five minutes later, she came up with comedies and chick flicks. Even better, she also came up with Ben and Jerry's. I need to thank those men; because it helps. Also, even better than that, she has two cartons: one chocolate, one vanilla. Tonight was going to be good.
