A/N: Hello, everyone! :D Yeah, I know… I apparently can’t update properly, anymore… Sorry ‘bout that… But, I promise, I’ll get back on track, okay? I know you probably don’t want to be reading this right now but, I need to tell you about stuff, okay? So, this chapter isn’t all that exciting, so please cope with it. (can I make updates for this story on Saturdays, or Sundays? I’m a busy person, nowadays…) Alright, I’ll let you read the story. Bye! :D

I see Him pointing somewhere to the right. As I looked over, I saw another path. But this time, it just went straight forward. He didn’t say anything, and vanished. I didn't think much about it, though. So, I just started walking forward. I turned around, and saw my brother just standing there. “Aaron?” I ask, looking over at him. “What’s wrong?”

“Huh? Oh, i-it’s nothing.” He said, before walking over to where I was.

“Alright. Then, let’s get a move on, shall we?”

“Right.”

So, we both started walking forward. There weren’t any battles for us to face, or anything. We just continued. “This is strange.” Aaron said.

“What’s strange, Aaron?”

“Well, we normally have to do something, like a battle or challenge, right? So, then… Why aren’t we doing that, now? Isn’t it kind of strange?”

“Aaron, there are times, when we don’t need to fight. Just like now.”

“Times when we don’t need to fight…” He said, whispering to himself.

As we kept walking down the path, it just stopped. Then we saw stairs, leading down into the ground. There wasn’t any source of light for us to look and see just what was down there. “Should we go down?” I ask, hesitantly.

“I don’t think it’s a very good idea, Heather. It doesn’t seem safe.”

“You’re sure?”

“Yeah, I’m sure. I don’t think we want to get into any danger after that last battle.”

“Alright, I guess you have a point… But then, what else are we supposed to do?”

“We could just continue on.”

“Yeah we could, but there’s nothing to follow.” I said, pointing outward to the empty area.

"Yeah, I guess you're right... But, how do we know that what’s down the staircase is any better?"

“Well, if that’s the case, then what are we supposed to do?” I ask.

We both kept searching around the area, left and right. But, before too long, Aaron had spotted something. “Hey, Heather, I think I found something…” He said, looking out, into the empty space.

“What did you find?” I ask looking back and forth.

“I-I’m not sure… It’s kind of…”

I had turned around and looked up, and saw something I could never forget. I saw light and darkness clashing. It consumed the whole sky that was above us. The light filling the room kept fading, making it hard to see what was happening.

I knew they weren’t there, but it was almost like it was showing different images, or something. I saw happiness and joy. But, a second later, I could see death and sorrow. It all filled me with so many different emotions.

I looked to my left, and saw Aaron just standing there, looking up at what was happening. I couldn’t blame him, though. It was all just so much to take in. But soon, I had become drowsy. My eyelids becoming heavier with each passing second. My body couldn’t hold itself up any more, and I had collapsed.

I could still tell what was going on around me, but nothing seemed clear. I couldn’t tell if the same thing was happening to Aaron but I didn’t think it did. I felt my head lifted up into someone’s arms, holding me there. But I couldn't see who it was. Then, my body wouldn't let me stay awake anymore, and I had passed out.

...

I opened my eyes, and saw an endless space. I could tell I wasn’t awake at the time. It was dark, and I couldn’t see much. I continued to stand there, and then saw something. A light burst out from the darkness, and filled the whole area with brightness. I shielded my eyes, to block the rays of the light. “W-what’s going on?”

I looked forward, and was surprised to see who stood before me. I thought I wouldn’t have to face them again but, I guess I was wrong. It was my younger self. The sword was still in her hands, and she was crying.

I walked to over her, and bent down. “What’s wrong?” I ask, trying to look her in the eyes.

“Where… Where is everyone…?” She said as she was sniffling.

I placed my hand on her shoulder, “What do you mean?”

“They’re not here… They all… Disappeared…”

"I'm sorry but, I just don't seem to..." It took me a while, but I could finally understand just what she was talking about. “I see… But, I promise you, nobody has disappeared. You just need to open your eyes a little further and I promise you’ll be able to see them, okay?”

Then, she dropped her sword, and faced the other direction. “Open… My eyes…” She said, walking away.

“Hey, where are you headed to?” I ask, standing up, and following her, reaching my arm out.

“I have to find them… Before they really disappear…” Then she had vanished with no traces of her ever being here.

I still worried for her, though. I just don’t want her to have to experience the pain and suffering I once did. So, if she can open her eyes up, just a little, I’m sure there’ll be a light. I mean, that’s what the light is for, right?

To be able to help you see through those darkest hours?

To ease your pain and suffering?

To me that’s what it meant, at least. For, without the light, I would be long gone, shrouded in darkness, overcome by hatred and rage. All alone, with no one to turn to…
