Part Forty-Seven {Paul's POV}
"What the fuck?" I yelled
"Paul.." Lee said trying to calm me down.
"No, no way in hell am I letting him get out of this." I said slamming my fist on the table
"Sir I'm sorry there was a lack of evidence."
"No, I can't believe this shit." I said
"Ma'am can I talk to him alone please." Lee said
"Sure." The lady said walking out of the room
"Paul first you need to calm down." She said
"No this guy nearly raped you in high school and almost killed our baby."
"I know what he did Paul but we can't do anything." She said standing up
"When then were leaving." I said holding her hand and leading her out the door
I just walked out and I'm never going back.
We got in the car.
"I'm sorry Lee."
"Sorry for what?" She asked
"For having this happen to you."
"You need to stop nothing was your fault."
"Yes it is if I was just there to stop this you wouldn't even-"
"Pull over." She said
I drove to the side and stopped the car.
She looked me in the eyes.
"Paul stop none of this is your fault."
She placed her lips on mine and gently kissed me.
I felt tears sting my cheeks as our lips moved together.
"Paul, it's okay to cry." She said tears forming in her eyes as well.
"Its hard I know." She said rubbing my cheeks with her soft fingers.
"I need to be strong for you and this baby." I said looking into her eyes.
"Its okay Paul." She said
"I'm such a whimp." I said smiling
"You're my whimp." She said smiling
I love this girl.
