Ella's  POV

Die looked at my shaking body again with a scrunched up face for the 3rd time and she finally cracked and asked. "Okay, I give up, Why the hell are you so excited about...maths?" She shuddered on the last word making  shake my head at how luckly she was. She had been to hundreds of maths lessons by now and this was only my first so of course I was excited. Hell, it was the first class and teacher in my life, even if they were late. After 5 minutes of talking to Die the teacher finally walked in and it was obvious why she was late. Her blonde hair was tied back but parts of it were everywhere and her bright red lipstick was all over my face. Apart from that her green top was half in her jeans and half out. I looked at her almost confused. Do teachers allways dress so casual and have a make out session before class? And do they always look as young as the students? I continued to stare at her as she shouted a hello at the class sounding way to happy, and dropped her bag on her desk and searched through it till she found a pen.

"Tommy!" She shouted making Die and me look back at the boy with his head on his desk letting out loud snores making everyone laugh. The teacher frowned and threw her pen genty at his head waking him right up. "NO, MUM IT WASNT ME!" He shouted reactivly that made me laugh along with everyone else, including the teacher. I shook my head unbelieving this class. Suddenly I heard a gasp which made me turn my head towards the teacher. "Crap, I love your hair" She walked over to me and looked eagerly at my hair like she was stealing it with her eyes. I blushed as the room fell silent. Then after a moment of staring she suddenly realised she didnt know me.

"You must be the new girl, right? Ummmm..." She stood there humming for a few second before I helped her out. "Ella" I said quietly causing recognistion flow through her face. "Of course!" She nodded and ran to her bag making me slightly causious. She took something out and ran back to me so fast that I bowed my head slightly incase I had shown her disrespect by correcting her. A few seconds flew by and she was looking at me funny while holding out a lollypop. I opened my mouth but she answered my question first. "Dont worry dear, its not poison. I give all my new students a treat to apologize for any mistakes I do in the  year" I looked at her causiously and was about to raise my hand when I suddenly heard my stomach rumble which caused my hands to fly to it to try to hide it. Even though the teacher was still smiling, she looked caring as she took in my weight and I saw Die silently gasp.

"When did you last eat?" Die asked silently but the class was so quiet that they would of heard. Crap! Change subject! "Thank you very much ma'am" I apreciated her and quickly took the lolly out her hand before she started to question me. I have never been embarassed about my weight, even though I know I was too small, but right now, I couldnt be more red. Mrs Gold gave a small laugh and said she was welcome. After that she began teaching like nothing had happened, yet she still sent small worried looks at me throughout class.

Another thing I noticed was that I was the only one who was listening eagerly and writing down every word she said and taking in every bit of information. Whereas Die kept giggling more at everymove I made to lean forward in my chair to hear more. I had never had anyone teach me anything or want to teach me anything and I didnt even know what to say to describe how thankful I was. Too soon though I heard the bell go making me frown deeply and look around to see everyone leave the room as fast as possible, apart from Die.

"Is that it?" I asked sadly. I didnt want the lesson to end. I actually enjoyed maths and how everything had a ending and a answer to it. It gave me hope that one day there will be an answer to my existence. Mrs Gold laughed and Die patted me on the back making me hold my tongue at the pain. "You have so much to learn, young one" She said and dragged me out the room where she led me to another room down the hall. I was about to ask what we were doing there but before I could she opened the door and walked in confidently leaving me in the doorway as she made her way to one of the three girls in the room. She gave each one a hug while I wondered whether to leave or not.
