"Congratulations, you're pregnant," Dr.Davis said with a smile. This was not what I needed. This is not what I wanted. Dr.Davis must have seen my face drop. "What's wrong?" she asked looking concerned. "Nothing" I answered all but too quickly, while sitting up from the bed "don't you want to see the ultrasound of your baby?" she said holding out a beige folder that had my name, Jennifer Landsdowne wrote in black marker on the front. I reached out shakily and took the folder out of Dr.Davis' hands. "Thank-you" I said grabbing my black JanSport backpack, and putting the folder in it. I tried to turn the corners of my mouth up for a slight smile despite the crushing news. I pulled my JanSport back onto my left shoulder and headed out. As i exited the room I started drifting into my thoughts.

//Im only 15 years old / I shouldn't be pregnant with a rapists child / Should I keep the baby?//

were all things running through my mind. As i reached the phone booth, one of the last ones standing in Hawee Town. I picked up the receiver of the phone and inserted 50 cents. I dialed my moms number. After 3 rings my mom picked up the phone.

"Hello?" Her voice rang out through the phone.

"Hey mom" I said holding back the tears I forbid to let escape.

Breathe

"Honey... Did you get the results?" She said sounding worried. I could practically hear her chewing on her finger nails.

"Yes" I said choking on my words. The cold February air nipped at my red cheeks.

"And?" She said waiting for a response. After a small silence she spoke again.

"I'll be right there" she said. Through the receiver I heard her walking over our hard wood floor. I could hear music up loud in the distance. Probably my twin sister Judy.

"Okay" I said and the line went dead. A Few minutes later I seen my moms Red Taurus pull up to the curb. I readjusted my backpack strap on my shoulder as I walked towards the car.

I opened the passenger door and got in the car, closing the door behind me. I pulled my backpack off my shoulder and sat it in my lap. I pulled my feet up on the seat and hugged my knees to my chest. As my mom pulled off almost leaving dust behind her, she put her hand on my shoulder.

"Honey" was all she said. I chewed on my saliva glands to stop and potential tears.

"Mom. I don't know if I want this" I said as we pulled in the driveway. She put the car in park and turned to me.

"Oh baby, it's your decision. Ill support you no matter what" she said playing with a lose strand of my hair.

"Thanks" I said as I opened the car door. My mom opened hers too, but before she could get out I grabbed her wrist.

"Did you mention this to Judy?" I asked. She shook her head innocently so I nodded at her and let go of her limb. I grabbed the handle of my bag and dragged it out of the car.

//I'm 2 months pregnant//

I went up the wooden steps of our front porch and opened the front door, my mom lingering behind me. I could hear Judy's music blaring from the livingroom. The song Crazy in love was playing.

I walked into the livingroom to find my sister sitting on the couch on her laptop. She was sipping her coffee when she noticed me and she almost spilled it all over her laptop.

"Jenny" she said setting her mug on a grey coaster.

"Judith" I said as I sat in the grey leather chair, throwing my backpack on the ground.
