The Diary Of A Murderer

Chapter One

A murder happened in the little village of Villaguay in Buenos Aires.This time the victim was a Mackinlay, her name was Shery, she hadfamily ties with Mathilda Mackinlay.

"It's the 4th murder in the year and we still don't know who he or she is!" Miss Davenport said angrily after discovering the corpse of a little girl.

"Search everywhere! Whether you like it or not! "

Exasperated by all those events, she came back home and saw a strange letter on the threshold of the door.

"Oh no, this murderer again!"

She opened the letter and read it.

Dear Eve,

I think, you already discovered the corpse of the little Shery Mackinlay. Poor girl, she was only six years old however. My 4th murder was very easy! Which unworthy parents would leave their little girl alone at home? My mother would I think!

"Wednesday,November 12th
Mother had not told me I was banned from the library as long as it would take me to finish "Daughters Of England"!I cannot imagine a worse punishment; how could a mother impose this to her kid"

"This murderer is insane, I must arrest him or her before there are more victims... Easier said than done..." sighted Eve

"Daughter of England ? I must do some research about it.."

She immediately took her computer and started to look for the book. Daughter of England was written by Sarah Ellis in 1842. It is a mid-19th century text providing guidance on youngwomen's character and behaviour.

"Interesting...So broadly the aim of this book was to educate girls how to become ladies but the date intrigued me. We were in 1960 so there was 118 years of difference... This diary was not his or her diary... Or hisor her parents were very hard with this murderer when she or he was akid."

After saying that, Eve called her friend Chae to share what she discovered:

- Hello, Chae?

- Hi, Eve, how are you?

- Fine! What about you?

- Good. How is your investigation going on?

- Not bad... I discovered something interesting in the last letter of this insane person. The murderer wrote that his or her parents by way of a punishment forced him or her to read "Daughter of England", a book to educate girls and I think that the diary does not belong to the murderer

- We may have a clue. You must send the letter to the lab tomorrow.

- I was thinking about it...
