The sun leaked past the curtains and landed on the sleeping residents eyes making him roll, when a sudden sharp sting of pain jolted his mind away from the safety the blackness provided. Squinting gray eyes looked at his clock with a sigh pushing his body into a sitting position then to his feet and made his way to his bathroom to check the damage.
Takayuki winced at the sight of his reflection a swollen eye that he knew he wouldn't be able to hide, a dark bruise around his throat from being choked, bruised nose, but under his shirt his abdomen was an ugly dark blackish purplish yellow from the blows he received last night but luckily it was easy to hide it. He looked at his hands but the sight of the bandages he had on his wrists had been bleed through.
Striping of everything and climbed into his shower, after washing the blood down the drain, got dressed and applied consoler and snuck out the door to meet up with his friend Oga Tatsumi.
It was a normal day watch as Oga fought guys who thought that they could take him down and another part of his normal day was him playing pretend. Pretending that under his long sleeves weren't self inflicted scares wrapped in bandages, pretend that behind his shirt weren't bruises that were left behind from hard kicks to his gut, and pretend that he was always happy when in reality he just wanted it all to end.
At lunch the group sat on the roof joking and talking, off to the far side was Furuichi he stared at the edge of the roof just thinking how easy it would be to just walk over to the edge and just fall. 'No one even notices I'm here so maybe I can just slip off the side. No one would care anyway' just as that thought ran through his head the sounds of baby Beel caught his attention. He was looking at Furuichi with a worried look and when their eyes locked the demon stretched his little arms in his direction.
The movements and noises that Beel was making caught his contractors attention, he glanced at the baby and noticed his eyes starting to tier up. Not wanting to be shocked he shoved the baby into his friends arms. Takayuki looked at the infant in his arms and smiled weakly at his big innocent green eyes " you noticed huh?" He asked in a chocked whisper, he got a nod in return. Unknown to them a pair of amber eyes were staring curiously at the exchange, they moved over the silverettes body taking everything in, he looked normal but something was off and he was going to find out what.
