it was hard for jeongguk and his grandmother.
shortly after taehyung's death, their high school had shut down for a few days. and many kids were in trouble.
but most importantly, the police had continued to investigate taehyung's mom's case, and found out that a speck of taehyung's blood matched some of the blood on his mother's shirt, and fingerprints matched taehyung's.
and taehyung's grandmother's first expression was sadness, which slowly transitioned into anger and slowly into guilt and denial. even jeongguk was surprised.
but they couldn't do anything, taehyung was dead.
here he was, standing in front of taehyung's grave.
jeongguk kneeled down, reading the gravestone repeatedly until he felt like he was about to break down.
"remember when we were kids, taehyung? and you called me hyung? wasn't that so cute? i miss you!" he sniffled, drying his damp eyes before placing a white rose near the gravestone.
"i'm so sorry. but you made it so far, didn't you? you're so incredibly strong, taehyung." he whispered to the grave as if he were talking to taehyung right now.
"i miss you so much, taehyung. i hope you know that." he spoke, as taehyung's dog, rose, came over.
she wasn't happy either. the poor dog was getting old too and jungkook and taehyung's grandmother were trying their best to keep her in her best condition. they knew that's what taehyung would want them to do.
rose dropped a leaf near the bouquet of white roses as if she were mourning too.
"see, even rose misses you. we all miss you taehyungie." he stroked the gravestone, crying.
"i'll see you later, my precious rose."
