My eyes fluttered open and I glanced over at my alarm clock.

3:23

Still a couple hours before I have to get up. My stomach is whirling around so much I'm afraid I'm going to lose my dinner.

I squeeze my eyes shut so tight they start watering.

I bury my head in my pillow and start crying. Not because I'm sad, just because of all the stress and changes that have been taking place recently. Then all of a sudden I feel something jump on my bed.

I take my head out of my pillow and meet a pair of blue eyes that sparkle even in the dark.

Blue bounced over to my face and started licking the tears off of my cheeks, trying to make me feel better. I sat up and picked up the fur ball, holding him close to my chest.

My heart warmed when I remembered about a week ago when Brody got me the puppy, and I had to chase him around the house to get a hold of Blue.

I kept thinking about the good times Brody and I had, and it eventually put me to sleep.

I woke up to my alarm clock screaming at me, letting me know I had to get up and face the world.

I climbed out of my bed and grabbed the outfit I had picked the night before, a pair of dark blue jeans and a white T-shirt, along with a pair of white converse.

I grabbed my purse, slid in my keys, my wallet, my phone, and any extra things I might need. I went into the bathroom and applied a light layer of makeup, before jogging downstairs to the kitchen where Brody was already eating an apple.

I grabbed one and leaned against the counter next to him. He glanced down at me and smiled a smile filled with love and compassion.

"You ready?" He asked me, and I looked up into his eyes.

"No." I stated simply, before taking a bite of my apple.

He chuckled lightly, "That's a blunt, but truthful answer." He said, before taking a bite of his own apple.

I pulled my phone out of my purse and scrolled through social media. I saw pictures of a bunch of people leaving for college too.

Anna stumbled into the kitchen and yawned sleepily.

"I love you guys, I'll miss you two so much. Make sure you come to visit soon." She smiled, her eyes brimming with tears.

She wrapped her arms around Brody and gave him a hug, and then pulled me into a tight embrace as well.

"We'll miss you too mom." He said, his own eyes looking saddened.

"Bye guys, you better get going so you're not late." She said, her voice laced with sadness.

"Alright, bye Anna." I smiled half-heartedly, if I spoke anymore, my voice would've cracked, and I didn't need to cry anymore.

Brody grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together, before we walked out to our cars. I was going to follow him to our university, and then after going to the office, we were going to split up and head to our dorms so we could meet our room mates.

We gave eachother a quick hug before getting into our cars and starting to leave for college.
