I roll down the window of Kat's mini and let my hand drop so I can feel the air on my hands. I've always loved the wind. The way it moves, the way it feels. I know its weird but I can't help it. Probably why I love flying so much and why I love heights.

Kat won't tell me where we're going, not even a clue. All she said, was that, I had to wear something nice, and by nice, she meant fancy, so I dressed up. I may have gone overboard, but Kat said I looked beautiful, so I took her by her word.

As we make it past my school, it finally clicks as to where we're going and I say "Oh, hell to the no! Kat! You are not dragging me to the horrid place!" I say frantically. Her only reply is a wicked grin, knowing I can't stop her or back out.

So instead of starting an argument, I just stare out at the woods passing by. Its too dark to see, but by day, you're able to see some wild animals like wolves, in that forest, and by night, complete and utter darkness.

As I'm staring at the forest, I don't expect to see something resembling eyes. Not just any eyes, but human. Golden eyes staring right back at me.

Time seems to stand still as those eyes move out of the darkness, revealing a man, dressed all in black, running straight towards us. Towards me.

All I remember is him reaching the car in a burst of speed, him jumping over the car while grinning widely.

All I hear is my screaming, telling Kat to stop the car.

As she pulls the mini to the side of the road, I scramble out to see if the completely insane man is Ok, only to find no one. Nothing. Just road and darkness staring at me.

"Evie?! The hell is wrong with you?? Why the fuck were you screaming? Are you Ok? Evie? Evie!" My name snaps me out of my mind.

I look at Kat with a stricken face, that matches her own. "Yea. I'm fine." I say with forced enthusiasm. "Really? Because you don't look Ok. You look like you've seen a ghost, and why the hell did you scream? Huh? You gave me a heart attack Evie!"

She keeps ranting on about me scaring her and almost killing the both of us with me being a crazy lady, as she walks back to the car. I follow her, slump in my seat, and just keep my mouth shut as she has a good rant on about me being irresponsible.

She's like my mother sometimes.

After about twenty minutes, we reach the club. Kat parks her car, and turns in her seat to stare at me.

"Look, Kat, I'm sorry Ok? I thought I saw something jump in front of the car and freaked. I'm sorry." I finish with a little pout forming.

As she huffs out a sigh, she runs her hand through her hair and says, " It's fine, Eve. Its just we could've died and I was so dam scared. But I get you freaked. Just please don't do that again Ok? Promise me?" She glances at me with a pleading look in her eyes. "Yea I promise. Never again. Cross my heart and hope for you to kill me." I say, bringing my hand up to my heart, drawing a cross, and blowing her a kiss. That's are little joke.

She can't help but laugh and I take that as my cue to get out and walk around to the front. As she gets out, she has a huge grin on her face.

"Ok. Let's put these people to shame yea? This is gonna be interesting." All I do is nod, feeling like I'm going to regret this night.

But instead of voicing my thoughts to my best friend, I link my ark through hers, and we walk together up to the club. God help me.

Sebastian's POV

After the beating the nephilim got from my men, and boy did we have fun, life at Satan's continued as if nothing happened. That's the thing with humans. Easily manipulated to think what they want to think. To see what they want to see.

So with a little, magic as humans like to say, Jasper sprung a story that it'd be a good idea for everyone to head to the building next to the club and, humans being humans, went along with idea.

Not like they had any choice, I think to myself with a little smile. I find it absolutely fascinating how oblivious humans actually are. They have millions of stories and they don't understand how close they are to the real world.

I guess I'm fascinated by the fact that they don't know the true dangers. Instead they only see what's given to them.

For example, the wars going on, poverty, discrimination. Humans have enough to deal with and they don't need us fallen, nephilim and angels piled on top.

As in sitting above all of them, watching them, a certain person catches my eye. Dressed entirely in black, from the heels that are tied just above her ankles, the dress that reaches just above her knees, and hugs her fine figure, to the brown waves running down her back and all the way up to her gorgeous eyes. Evangeline.

All thoughts leave my mind, except the fact the she's here, with hormonal humans, and fallen looking at her like they might whisk her away for a little bit.

As I watch her watch the people around her, with a look of discomfort on her face that suggest she would rather be anywhere else but here. I can't blame her. I wouldn't peg her for this kind of scene.

Her friend, on the other hand, I'm not surprised. Nor surprised she dragged Evie here either. I make the decision to move my sorry ass down to the bar, where I'll coincidentally run into her. Maybe not the beat idea.
