It would be so romantic two friends watching fireworks and Y/N is just enchanted by the lights and the feeling of Lauren next to her. But Lauren is different, she couldn't care less about the fireworks because she was so entranced by the look on Y/N's face. She has never seen her so open before. Lauren could read Y/N like a book but in this moment it as if she had gone back in time to when Y/N never put up walls or facades to make others happy or make others think she were cool. Lauren feels like that is all Y/N does anymore, build walls and fake personalities, never being to open for the fear of someone slipping past her defenses. Lauren knows that Y/N would rather be teased for something fake than someone actually fully knowing her and hitting her with true insults, right were it hurts. Y/N has added so much fake plastering to make the walls around her personality airtight that Lauren is afraid She'll never see the real Y/N again. The Y/N she fell in love with and still love for all her personalities quirks and flaws.
But in this moment when her little part of the world is dark and the sky is only light by the crash of what seems to be thousands of glowing stars that Y/N lowered her sarcasm and defenses and countless false personalities. In that moment she stop being cynical and just look up with wonder and amazement, with no fear of being judged because she trust Lauren. In that moment Y/N realizes, she trust Lauren. She realize she can lower her walls around this person in a way she has never been able to before. And in that moment when Y/N is amazed and unfiltered and Lauren is in love and enchanted Y/N looks over and sees-really sees-Lauren for the first time in a long time. Through eyes unfiltered by the need to keep up appearances. For the first time she realize that Lauren is and has always been there for her and Lauren realizes that Y/N finally knows what she has known all along. That they were perfect for each other.
