When the bell rang, there were only seven people in class. Does that mean that someone is late? Or is this just a smaller class? Serena is overthinking things again, but she needs to pay more attention. Prof. C. Juniper is taking roll call.
"Alain?" he asks
"Here." Replies Alain, quietly. Alain is a tall boy with dark blue hair. He is wearing all dark blues and blacks, and almost none of his skin is showing. Even on a day like this, he still wears thick clothing. Serena wondered about that.
"Calem?" he calls. No answer whatsoever. Not a word until Alain speaks up: " he is running behind, sir." "Oh." said Prof. Juniper.
"Trip?" he asks, with an almost immediate response of : "Here, Professor, though I'd much rather not be." from Trip. Trip is a boy with blond shoulder-length hair, and he also wears thicker clothes. What is it with all of these guys wearing thick clothing?
"Ash" was the name called this time.
"Here" replied a smooth voice. Serena tuned around to see an athletic-looking boy with messy black hair. He was wearing jeans with a simple black tee. His red baseball cap was Poke-Ball brand, and it looked good on him. She blushed, embarrassed at his influence on her.
"Serena" He asked.
"Here" Serena replied shyly. She looked down at her desk and wondered if anyone looked at her when she said "Here".
"Shauna"
"Here!!" Replied the spunky-looking girl. She looked to be absolutely amazed to be hear, and that school was the best place to be in the world at this exact moment.
"Tierno"
"HERE!!!" replied the boy next to Shauna. The two of them looked so content to be together. I bet the're dating. Thought Serena. Only one more person.
"Finally we have Lillie." Prof. C. Juniper announced. "h-here" replied Lillie, quietly and shyly. She was blond with long hair that was partially braided. She wore soft-looking clothes, and a rather large hat. She looked to be trying to hide in her own world. Serena couldn't help but to pity her.

Social Studies was boring. Very boring. Yuck. Ash was giving less and less interest in the Beginning-of-the-Year speech that Prof. Juniper was giving. The pretty honey-blond Serena was paying close attention to the Prof. and she even took a few notes. OK, so she must be smart. That's a good thing. Wait, why was Ash paying such close attention to her? He had never given an anything about a girl before now in his life!!
Soon after class had started, Calem rushed in to the classroom, with a tardy pass slip in his hand. He gives it to the Prof., and he goes to sit by Alain who gives him a high-five. They must be best friends. Ash thought that maybe they would be a good start to his friend group.
But there was something wrong with him. Serena Yvonne couldn't get out of his head!!
