When I feel asleep I went into a phase. I don't really know how to describe it but I saw a woman. She spoke to me saying;

"You Calista shall do what you must"

And she vanished. That was the only part that I remember of my dream. I then opened my eyes. I got up and started to think about Connor. My only friend and boyfriend. He'd left his family for me. He shouldn't have done that. Don't get me wrong it's really sweet, but he was first in line for the throne. I well... was supposed to be, but I'm not anymore.

•Knock knock•

"Yeah, Connor you can come in," I said.

"Hey Cal," he replied.

I took a deep breath and said,"Connor we need to talk."

"O-okay" he said in a worried tone.

"Look I think you should go back to your family and kingdom,"
I said quickly.

I could see Connor's face drop.

"No way! You need me here!" He whined.

He wasn't thinking straight so I grabbed his face and shouted"Connor, look at me!" I pulled his face right in front of mine. "Look maybe later we can be a couple. Not now. I still care about you but I'm too busy and you need to go home to your family!"

He went silent.

I didn't know what else to do so I started walking out the door. Connor kept calling my name, but I had to ignore him.

My supplies was mostly on my horse just in case we needed a quick get away. I jumped onto my horse and started getting out of town when I heard Connor call my name again. I decided that this time I'd hear him out.

"This time, Calista, look at me" he said while panting,"I love you and if waiting is what it'll take then I'll wait. I'll go back to my family and claim the throne. Just know that you'll always have a place in my kingdom."

With that I got off my horse and I felt happy. It felt so happy for someone to say that. More then anyone know. We needed a break-I needed a break.

I hugged him and said,"Thank you." And got back on my horse. I kept looking back and saw Connors shadowy figure get smaller with every second. When Connor was completely gone I couldn't help but feel guilty. I basically just stabbed him in the back. I took a trip with him and then ditched him. Then again maybe I did something right. His kingdom needed a good leader and he was the perfect fit. He'd be reasonable the people. His family probably missed him too. I mean his mother, Scarlett, was probably worried sick about him. Connor was willing to leave everything behind to come with me, but would I do it for him. Even with the consequences he still wanted too. The truth is as a friend I would, but not as his girlfriend.
