Probably the first time I ever met Hayleys parents was the day after she went missing, I was in 3rd period, social skills class, My desk was close to the door of the classroom, so when the door was open I could see everything going on.
That morning, I was sitting taking notes when I heard the putter patter of footsteps running threw the hallway, An older man and older woman, 3 police officers, and Principle Griffin walked into our classroom.
My teacher stopped talking and looked up at the 6 adults.
"Students, Hayley Attican has gone missing, did any of you see her after school!?" Said the teacher.
I was in shock. Hayley? Missing? No! She's too bad ass! My mind quickly shot back to yesterday afternoon, last period, you were walking out with Hayley,
"Where are you off to, Charlie?" Asked Hayley as we walked almost perfectly in sync.
"What would I possibly be doing on a Thursday evening?" I say to her
"I don't know!"she said
"Well, Im going to help out clean out the school basement, then go to a party!" Said Hayley.
I remembered, Hayley couldn't have gone missing in the basement, because she showed up at the party!
"Have any of you seen Hayley before she left school?" Asked the teacher again.
Everyone in my class looked at each other.
