My mind was over cluttered. I couldn't think of anything else, all I could think of was my conversation with Hayleys mother yesterday.
I took slow bites of my oatmeal that my mother had made me.
"Charlie, are you okay? You seam different!" My mom asked.
I put my spoon back in my oatmeal.
"I'm fine, mom, really!" I say in a tired expression.
"Uhmm, Yesterday when I sent you on that erin-"
I immediately turned my focus on her, half worried about what she was gonna say.
"Mrs. Attican told me she had a chat with you, is that true?" She asked
I nodded.
"Yes, I did." I say back.
She smiled a bit and picked up her phone to look for something on it.
"She told me that if you wanted to discuss anything with her, regarding Hayley, or anything, your welcome to call her or go over to the post office." She said still swiping and tapping away on her phone.
"So Im gonna send you her contact!" She continued as she finishes with one final tap of her phone.
I was sort of confused as to why Hayleys mother would be interested in talking with a kid like me.
My mom rested her hand on mine.
"Charlie, she said you were a good kid, and you did know Hayley."
I guess she made a decent point.
I glanced at my watch, it was time to go to school, I grabbed my backpack which was hanging behind my chair and ran out the door.
"By mom!" I say before I slam the door.
