A/N: hey! If you haven't already, go back and visit part one again cuz I added some art. It looks really bad in my opinion but it gives you a visual of Cam. ok so this chapter is in Jake's POV. Same day too. You'll now get to know more stuff about him. Also in the last chapter there was stuff I didn't quite explain that will get covered in this one. Please don't forget to give me some feedback! Again minor language warning. Ahhhhhh Jake my little cinnamon roll! I drew a lovely picture of him! Ok then. Let's begin! Chapter 2/24
I don't own Starbucks! (You would think that would be obvious but I don't want to get sued or something due to copyright)
-------------------Jake worked at Starbucks and quite frankly, he was thankful. He got discounts on coffee and the place had wifi. It was a pretty small store with other shops directly next door. There was a small door on the far left of the front with two large wall windows beside that. There was a few booths in the back corner directly from the door with tables for two lined up against the windows and tables for four in the middle of the room. In the other back corner there was a small kitchen. Jake had gotten the job shortly after he graduated high school and moved into an apartment with his two best friends few months ago. Ivan, one of his friends, happened to also work at the same Starbucks (hence how Jake found the job). Now, Jake's headed for college in a few weeks. And on this particular day, walking to work, Jake had a feeling. He couldn't describe the feeling, and he couldn't tell what it meant. Little did Jake know that this day would change his life forever.
The day had seemed to have gone by as if he had only arrived an hour ago. It was a Tuesday so the day was a little slower but Like any other day at work, they were packed in the morning, then again at noon, and then another small burst at rush hour. But soon came round 9:00. Jake, alongside with Ivan, were taking an all day shift with an older employee. It was hard with just the three of them, but it kept them busy. The place was empty. But it wast too long before a girl around the same age as him walked in and placed her order.
The girl appeared exhausted both physically and mentally and Jake took pity. As a soon to be college student at the one and only JUA, he knew what it felt like to become the living dead. Jake glanced over at her empathetically and for a moment their eyes met but was short lived as she turned her attention to her phone.
After receiving her coffee, she seated herself at a table by the window, pulled out a laptop, and started working. He carefully studied the girl and her features, unaware he was doing so. She was short. Not too short, but still below average. She had long dirty blonde hair with a purple streak of dye running a corse through her bangs. She had a light skin with no particular marks or spots. Her eyes were a bright, brilliant emerald green that seemed to stand out again her skin and hair.
'Crap!' He quickly realized he'd been staring at the stranger longer than he intended and swiftly averted his eyes. Jake pondered for a moment but could seem to come to a conclusion as to why that one girl out of all people caught his attention. He abandoned the thought and returned to working.
