The more I go through this story the more I want to just go hide and die. It's not very good. I didn't realize how bad it was until I look at how I write now. This chapter in of itself is pretty bad. I plan on fixing this soon.

Axen's POV

ch.3: darkness

l tried to think as I was sucked under into blackness. It felt like I was swimming in and oppressive black lake. I didn't know which way was up or down, hell I was having problems breathing as it was. I felt myself jolt and fought to wake up as I heard a muffled yell. I was completely helpless and I hated being helpless. Why couldn't I wake up? I felt myself being moved and vaguely recognized Aved's voice. I felt a burning in my mid forearm and struggled to stop the burning. I heard another voice but couldn't make out what was being said before it went silent. Now what was going on? Suddenly something was poured on my face and it jolted me enough so that I could wake up. Aved was yelling something as I sat up and spit the water off of my face. Someone else yelled something back and I struggled to get the water out of my eyes. Hadn't I already showered for the night. "Guys! For real?" I yelled trying to break up whatever fight was about to break out. Aved turned mid punch and offered an apology which I appreciated while Jayden smirked and said something to provoke Aved. Aved turned and I'm assuming glared at him while asking,

"Why're you even here?"

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Aved, please just stop." I said as I sat up from the sofa and stood up slowly.

"You shouldn't be moving quite yet." he said moving closer to me. I grabbed his arm when a dizzy spell hit and winced when pain shot through my head. My smartass reply was,

"Your mom."

"Axen you should really learn to listen." he said as he tried not to smile.

"Shut up. I know I should." I said before letting go of his arm and struggling to stay standing. I had felt tingles go up my arm from his and little butterflies in my stomach. I never got butterflies. This is ridiculous.

"Then why don't you?" he asked in exasperation as I made my way around the coffee table, unsure of where I was heading. I was just getting away from the guy who gave me butterflies and the one who wanted to get in my pants. I hated that Jayden was in my home. This was my place. Why couldn't he just leave? He stepped in my way and nearly got decked for his trouble.

"You okay, babes?" he asked placing his hands on my waist. I slowly moved my head up to glare at him.

"You're going to want to move your hands, quickly. Or else you'll lose them." I said with a spark of temper in my voice. He moved his hands back and I stepped back.

"I guess that answers my question." he said before backing up and giving me a once over. I realized I was still in my night clothes which consisted of a pair of shorts and tank top.

"Stop perving on me and get the hell out." I snapped crossing my arms and scowling at him. He held his hands up and gave me an innocent look.

"Alright. I'm going!" he said before moving to the door. He paused for a moment and turned to look at me. "You want to go out Friday?" he asked with a smirk. I heard a quiet growl behind me and knew Aved was going to flip if Jayden didn't get his ass out the door.

"No I'm busy that day and any other day you want to go on a date." I said firmly.

"Aw come on cupcake. Why not go out with me? Give me a chance." He said with a 'heartbreaking' smile. I shook my head.

"Maybe when hell freezes over." I said and heard a snort behind me. Jayden shook his head.

"That may happen sooner than you think." he said before going out the door and shutting it. I turned to look at Aved and his eyes were on my butt.

"Yo Aved, my eyes happen to be up here." I said pointing to my face. Aved's face turned a slight shade of red and he looked at me.

"Sorry." he muttered before looking at my bare feet and shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Whatever. I owe you an explanation but I need to change otherwise you won't hear a word that I say." I said as I walked toward my stairs. It made me feel a little better to know that Aved did enjoy looking but I really should have changed before he came over here. This was not the image I wanted to portray to a potential boyfriend. I was not an easy lay and Aved needed to know that. Although if he was friend he would already know it.

"What do you mean, explanation?" he asked with a frown as he followed me.

"Well I figure it's about time you know why I moved here. I haven't told you in the two years we've been friends and you should know. I just haven't wanted to because it's not easy to talk about but I have a gut feeling that this has something to do with me moving here." I said.
