The monitor beeped as Catherine laid her hand atop of her moms shoulder, as she silently spoke to her. "I didn't work this entire week, I wasn't really up for it. I'm behind on my rent, not like I liked where I lived anyway. I got tired of hearing my roommates springs." She chuckled but stopped, realizing that she probably wouldn't have a place to stay in a couple of weeks. "I'm practically a walking mess, and I just wish you were here to guide me through all of this."

"Bad time to interrupt?" Her head moved and her eyes shifted to the door, where Justin was standing with a bag from chick-fil-a and soda in his hands. "Not at all." Cat smiled at him, getting up from where she was sitting to go hug him.

"I missed you so much." He mumbled into her hair as the two hugged for a quick second. "I brought you something to eat, I didn't know if you had eaten or not so I thought hey, why not. Also, I brought a change of clothes because I know you, and you probably have stayed here for a while. If there's anything else you need just."

"Shut up. Thanks, it means a lot. I know I kind of ignored you this past week, which you didn't deserve." She said to him as they slowly let go of each other. "It's fine, I know that this is all tough for you."

"It is." Slowly nodding, Catherine took the food from his hands and walked over to the small table in the corner of the room, and placed it on there. "So how is she?"

"I don't know, they keep telling me the same thing. Her heart rate is fine, the scans are turning out exactly how they were before, except the tumor has stopped growing ever since she went into a coma. All that kind of stuff." Her eyes were dull as she spoke to him, which made him hate her being in this kind of situation. "I wish there was something I could do to help."

"You just being here is enough help, you don't understand how much your support means to me." A smile was on Justin's features as she said that, so he walked over to her and wrapped his arm over her shoulder. "So funny uhm idea."

"No i'm not going with you to wherever you're going."

"Oh hell no, it for sure wouldn't be that. Not yet, at least. You know my place right? Well, you know I live by myself and all that so, since I'm going to be gone quite a while, I was wondering if you would stay and take care of it?"

"Hold up." She put a finger up and got the burger, taking a bite out of it before letting out a slight groan. "This is so good."

"Why are you asking me? Out of all people?" She questioned him, looking him up and down as she waited for him to answer.

Truth is, he didn't know how to answer. He trusted her a lot which was odd since they only knew each other for about almost a month.  A lot of hid friends would question him on what he'd be doing, since he'd recently only been with her, and he'd make up some weird excuse. There was no reason as to him lying, he just wanted her to be away from all of it.

"Can you please just do it? I won't be coming back until the end of the month and I just need someone who I can trust to be there at all hours of the day."

"Fine, i'll do it. I'll be sleeping in the room with the biggest bed though."

"That'll be my room then, hope you like how I smell." He winked at her which made her give him a dull look. "Funny, I'm washing the sheets."
