I stood the doorway taking one last look at my empty room.
“Ready?” Logan asked behind me.
I turned around and smiled as convincingly as I can. “Ready.”
I put my arm around his shoulders and we made our way to the front yard where everyone was waiting. As soon as we were outside I was attacked by Melina.
“I'm gonna miss you soooo much.” She cried and hugged me with a death grip.
“Cant…breath…Mel.” I gasped for air as soon as she let me go.
“Things are going to be so dead here without you.” Zeke said taking his turn to smother me. When he let go I looked at my two best friends in the whole world.
“I’m gonna miss you guys so much.” I said and we group hugged. When we finally let go I walked over to the car and got inside. Sparky immediately climbed onto my lap.
When I looked out the window I saw Logan hugging his girlfriend, Lilly, goodbye. She is our neighbours’ daughter and Logan’s first crush. They’re so cute together.
He climbed into the car and gave me a small smile, but I could see he wanted to cry. Hey, who could blame the poor kid? I want to cry too, which is something neither of us never actually do. I scooted over to him and put my arm around his shoulders and pulled him close.
He laid his head on my shoulder and I rested my head on top of his head. We stayed like that until we reached the airport. We boarded the plane.
After about an hour LJ (Logan) and I got bored. Witch never ends well. I got an idea. I saw it in a movie once.
I nudged LJ and gestured for him to follow me. I stopped when I found the phone the steward people make announcements on. I picked it up and spoke in a very funny accent.
“Good morning people! This is your captain Busi Chabelala speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts very tightly because this is my first flight. And I’m very worried. So don't be alarmed if I accidentally roll this mother flipping flying machine.”
I hung up the phone and LJ and I was literally on the floor laughing as all the passengers got up and yelled that they want to get off the plane. We quickly snuck back to our seats, still not over our laughing fit.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, there is no reason to panic.” One of the stewardesses said trying to calm everyone down. “Calm down. Someone was just fooling around with the PA system. Now please go back to your seats, everything is under control.
The people didn’t look convinced but sat down anyway. LJ and I were still having a laugh attack.
“You two are real brats, you know that?” The stewardess said to us. You can say she was a ‘little’ mad. But I wasn’t going to take any crap from her. We were just having some fun.
“Really?” I asked sarcastic while LJ pretended to look hurt.
“I’m watching you two.” She said before storming off.
I heard someone snicker behind us. When I turned around I saw Mom and Steven trying to hold back their laughter. The rest of the flight LJ and I continued joking around witch pissed Julia, the stewardess, off even more.
She scowled at us before bending over picking up the papers that she dropped when I scared her. LJ took out his sling shot and shot her butt with a marble. She gasped and turned around.
I pretended to go through a magazine and LJ pretended to be asleep. She was about to say something but rather kept quiet. I heard her mumble something about never having kids while she stormed off again.
When she was out of sight we busted out laughing again. Steven hit LJ on the back of the head witch made us laugh even more. Steven just sighed and shook his head, but I could see he was trying not to laugh. Once we stopped joking around and ordered something to eat it was about 4AM. I put on my earphones and put on my favourite band’s music and quickly fell asleep.
When mom woke us up, almost all the people were off the plane. After we got all our language, Sparky and Steven rented a car we were on our way to La-whatever you call it.
