Welcome, Riverdale fans, Veronica Mars fans, or some of my Superflash and Canary series readers!

This is the story of a young girl by the name of Maisie Davis. Like myself, she likes to get her nose into business she should not have gotten entangled with.

She was Riverdale's very own private detective. Starting around the fourth grade, classmates asked her to look into things for them. At the time it was more foolish things like what topics there 'arch enemies' were writing upon for their final essays, or to see if their so-called crush liked them back. Stupid, but this kick started her into investigating the death if her mother. And in the eighth grade, she succeeded. She caught her mother's killer, a Southside Serpent.

As high school rolled around, things became more serious, like investigating whether a boy was cheating on their girlfriend. Kidding, but Maisie started to secretly shadow her father, who was the head detective on some of the biggest cases.

Maisie hacked her way into the Riverdale Police Department (RPD) without a soul knowing she was there. Gathering up evidence on some of the biggest cases her father didn't even begin to understand. This is what earned her he nickname 'Veronica Mars'. After the classic television series.

On the last day of the ninth grade, there was a redheaded who was in her homeroom class. His name was Jason Blossom. He walked up to Maisie and tapped her shoulder. Maisie turned and stared at him.

Jason told her to follow him or else the consequences would be severe. He lead her to an abandoned janitors closet and started to make out with her. Then kissing turned to raping. It was horrible because he already had Polly Cooper as a girlfriend. He threatened if Maisie told a soul that she would be shot in the head. So of course Maisie walked out of the closet, without a word slipping through her glossed maroon lips.

A month later, karma had its way. News leaked that Jason Blossom was killed on July 4th. Though Maisie should have felt relieved that he would not hurt her in any way, shape or form, she felt the exact opposite. There was something that was weighing her down.

It was the fact that no evidence had been found of Jason's murder.

Sitting in front of her mirror along side her bed, she stared at herself. With a baggy pink sweatshirt on and jeans that were a size too small, she didn't want to be that person she saw in the mirror. She did not want to be remembered as the girl who was possibly raped on the last day of school by a dead man. She wanted to be remembered as Maisie Davis, aka Veronica Mars.

As the summer passed, Maisie changed. First her wardrobe, then her room, her hair, and now, her attitude. Maisie turned from being a sweetheart to a total bad-ass with a sweet side deeply hidden.

On the first day of her sophomore year, Maisie walked down the hallways of Riverdale High. 99% of the people she once knew, stared at her, seeing the new and improved Veronica Mars. Walking into her homeroom class was the exact same, so she sat in the back corner next to no one she knew.

Then came the seating arrangement. Maisie was placed next to four of the closest people ever. And the worst part, this was only the start to how tangled she will become in this mess.

"Maisie, meet me after class. I want to talk to you about something. We feel like you would really be able to help us" a girl in a pastel blouse and jeans said. Her name was Betty Cooper.

And thanks to this, it was only the beginning of my long sophomore year at Riverdale.
