Before you knew it, you were running to your older brother, having his arms wrap around you for a hug.
He looked like he did when you were younger. Just.. taller and more mature.
"It feels so good to see you again Hana-chan." You hugged your brother tighter when he called you by your nickname. It meant "flower." Sure, when you were younger, you didn't think way too much when he called you it, but you still liked it. You remember the day when you got it..
"(Y/n). Sweetie! Look what I got for you!" Your mother called you and you sped down the steps to see. Once you got downstairs, you saw your mom with things to plant flowers. You've always wanted to plan them.
"Whoa! It looks so cool! Can we plant them now?" You ask, excitedly.

Your brother decided that he would help to, so he followed your mother and you.
"Ah, they look so pretty. Make sure you take care of them (Y/n)-chan." Your brother says and you nod.
"Of course!" With that, your mother smiled and showed both of you how to plant the flowers.
"Ok so it look like we first do..."

It's been a few weeks and the beautiful flowers have already sprung up.
"They look so pretty onii-chan!" You smile to your brother but it quickly fades. "If only mommy and daddy could see it.
Your mom and dad were at the hospital because the mother had fallen ill.
"Don't worry, she and dad will be able to see the flowers. I promise it!" Your brother and you walked back into the house to get lunch.

"Onii-chan! You yell from outside and your brother comes running to the backyard.
"What's wrong!" He yells, thinking that you were in danger but he stops once he sees you with a frown. You were looking at the flowers that were once there.
"Something ate them..." You say.
"Aww it's ok." He says, walking towards you. "I know just how to fix it." He smiled and pats your back.
"Really? How????" You jump up.

"With magic!" Your brother puts something around the flowers that were not eaten. "A deer or something must of eaten them. But with my magic, the flowers will stay alive." He nods his head, acting like he was a very awesome guy.
"Thank you nii-chan! What would I do without you!" You yell.
"You're welcome, Hana-chan."

"Onii-chan..? Who was on the phone? Why were you crying?" You ask, pulling his shirt.
He puts down and attempts to smile. "It's nothing, Hana-chan."
