Back in the blacksmiths stall, Hiccup who is lost in his thoughts, his head laid on a desk of Toothless drawings. Burden with the weight of the world, suddenly, Stoick appears in the doorway. Hiccup jumps and quickly covers his desk.

"Dad! Your back!" He skirts the desk, blocking stoicks view of Toothless, the prosthetic fin, and the other drawings.

"Gobbers not here so..." he strikes an awkward casual pose. Trying to cover up as much as possible.

"I know, I came looking for you..." Stoick said bluntly.
"You did."

"You've been keeping secrets..." he says as Hiccup's legs gave out, sliding, Dragging the table content with him.

"I...have?" Hiccup stuttered slightly.
"Just how long did you think you could hide this from me??" Stoick asked harshly.

"I don't know what your...." Hiccup started bluntly but got interrupted again.

"Nothing happens on this island without me knowing about it..."

"Oh?" Hiccup says sarcastically.
"So let's talk about that dragon.." Stoick says calmly as the blood drains from Hiccup's face.

"Oh gods! Dad, I'm so sorry! I was going to tell you but..."
Stoick starts BOOMING out laughter.
Hiccup stands there baffled.

"Your not....upset?" He wonders.
"What?? I was hoping for this!!" Stoick exclaimes with excitement.

"Uh you were?..."
"And believe me, it only gets better. Just wait till you spill a Nadders guts for the first time!!" Hiccup's expression sank...

"And mount your first gronckel head on a spear! What a feeling!!" Stoick bellowed.  He laughs and smacks Hiccup on the shoulder, sending him into the wall..

"You really had me going there, son! All those years of the worst Viking Berk has ever seen! Odin, it was rough, ha! I almost gave up on you!!"
Hiccup gets back up, grimincing In the irony of it all.

"And all the while, you were holding out on me! Thor o'might!" Stoick grabs a stool and sits.
"Ah, with you doing so well in the ring, we finally have something to talk about..." Stoick stated sitting up.

A long, awkward pause accord. Hiccup adverts his eyes nervously. Stoick adjust, awkwardly clearing his throat. After a long, uncomfortable silence...

"Oh, I brought you something.." the chief said to break the awkwardness. He presented a plain, Viking helmet.
"To keep you safe in the ring." He continued.

"Wow, thanks." Hiccup said sincerely accepting the helmet, analysing it.
"Your mother would've wanted you to have it. It is half of her breast plate..." He taps his own helmet and smiles.
"Matching set, keeps her close, y'know?" He continued.
Hiccup eyes the mismatch helmet, grimincing.

"Wear it proudly, you deserve it, you held up your end of the deal..."
Stoick beams with pride as Hiccup yawns and said, "I should really go to bed..."

"Yes! Okay! Good, good talk!" They talked over eachother for a bit awkwardly.

"Well, uh...good night.." Stoick finally said to end the conversation. He leaves the room awkwardly leaving Hiccup there as overwelbed as ever...
