All the girls like him
He's new and has hypnotizing green eyes
Soon I find myself attracted to him too
But why?
They giggle and twirl their hair when he speaks, and I am left doing the same
What is it about this boy?
I do not understand why they fawn over him so.
Sure, he has a pretty face
but that's it.
He's nothing special, yet I still want him.
I follow suit --
I giggle and stare, taking in as much of him as possible.
I am a mindless sheep who follows the crowd
How shameful!
But I'm only seventeen
So does that make it okay?
I want to be different -- removed from the "other girls"
I do not want to giggle and whisper
I do not desire sameness
I think myself unique
((I am not))
But I cannot help melting when he looks at me
My body acts against my mind's will
He is a virus
And my immune system is down
And so, I giggle
They giggle
High-pitched laughter fills the room
Giggles everywhere
All caused by a pair of green eyes
