The night he fell for her

Chapter 13

Enrique pov:

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.I looked at the time and got up.I went to the gym and worked out for an hour before i went to take a cold shower.My phone started ringing and i saw the caller id.I sighed before lifting the call.

"Dad" i said curtly soon after i lifted the call.

"This is not the way you wish your father Enrique" he said with a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"So why are you calling at this time" i asked immediately,not allowing him to speak more.

"Can't a father call his son at anytime" he replied.

"I have a meeting now,so please tell me the reason soon, or i will have to cut the call" i replied harshly.

"You never have time for your parents" he complained like a small child.

I softened a little at his words and said "Fine..i will come to your home in one hour,but i have to leave soon.I have an important meeting at noon."

"Important?? You have a meetinf with the Lancasters today.That is'nt very important,i guess! " he said,stressing the last two words.

"It is important to me" i said loudly.

"Very well then!Can we atleast expect you to be here for atleast an hour?" he said, to which i replied "I'll be there in an hour dad" and cut the call.

I called Julian to meet me at my fathers place.It was a large mansion which was 5 miles away from my building.I love being independent and i insisted on living seperately here,away from them.At first they did'nt agree,but being the stubborn child,i had my own ways.

I loved my parents, but preferred them at a distance.Not really,but sometimes,the decisions my father takes, irritate me.Like,last time, he gave his word to one of his friend that i would marry his daughter.What the hell!! How in the world did he think  that i would marry that irritating,clingy,gold digger.

I like woman,but not in the i-will-marry-her way.I like them for just one night.I never felt anything else than lust.But then,there is this girl with blue orbs,who managed to appear in  my dreams since the day i saw her that night.

I rememberd what Julian had said last night.Did i really fall for her?No wayy!! She is no where near the girls i meet and play with.Yet,she is something different.Yes,i have to admit this atleast to myself.But i can't let her be my weakness.

Once i have her,i will not be thinking so much about her.I know that. Just one night..And no more her dreams will haunt me.First,i have to distance her from that bastard,Jack.

The meeting was today at noon and im really looking forward to it.Will she recognize me? Maybe she will.She saw me clearly that morning,when she unintentionally checked me out.

I smirked remembering that morning when i caught her checking me out and she blushed cutely,looking down at the floor.I knew it! Any girl would fall for my looks and throw herself.

But she slapped you that day,when you kissed her!

May be she needs some time.Or may  she does'nt know me. Yes,she did'nt know me.If my looks can't lure her,then surely my money and power will.

I smirked proudly and got down the car as i reached our mansion.Julian was already there,walking towards the stairs of the mansion,while talking on his phone.

I quickened my pace and was beside him in a minute.I slapped him on his shoulder to which he stumbled and glared at the person who slapped him,but when he saw me, he raised his brows looking amused.

"Why are you looking so excited now?" he said,sarcasm dripping off his voice.

I ignored his words and we entered the house.

"Ahh..both my sons" i heard my mom voice and looked in that direction.She was coming towards us with a huge smile on her face and her eyes lit up with excitement.I hated being away from her,but i can't let them interfere in my decisions about my company.I took it over from them but still,my way of business was totally different from that of my father.My father can also be stubborn and cold like me at times.But my mom was totally different from both of us.

She is always happy and cheerful.She always tries to avoid disputes,whereas,me and my father looked forward to them.But dad loved her so much.How can he love her so much since so many years? I never understand that.My family treated Julian also as their son.I am more than glad to have him as my brother.

I hugged her and kissed on her cheek.
"I missed you mom" i said to which she replied "Oh...That's why you come to visit us every weekend,is'nt it! " with sarcasm in her voice.

I broke the hug and Julian did the same.We walked towarda the library where my dad would be most of the time.

We entered into the library and saw him sitting his chair,with his fingers pressing his forehead.We both sat in the couch opposite to him.

"You called us?" i spoke to which he looked at us.

"Oh you"re here" he said faking surprise.

"Why would'nt we be here when you wished to see us dad" Julian replied politely.

Julian was always the good boy.He respected my parents.He was very kind unlike me but when it comes to business,he could be equally dangerous as me.One should wish never to get on Julians bad side.

"Enrique", my father said and i looked at him and nodded. "I want you to think over my proposal.Why can't you marry his daughter?? What's wrong with her?" he said looking at me as if trying to read my expression.

"If you called me here to discuss this,then im leaving" i said curtly and got up and went out of the house ignoring my mom,who was calling my name.

I quickly reached my car and got in.I raked my fingers through my hair trying to control my anger.Julian came and got into the passengers seat of my car.

I started the car and drove to my office.From the corner of my eyes,i could see Julian looking at me with narrowed eyes.

Irritated by this,i shouted "What is it Julian?"

"You know Enrique! You should atleast once try to listen to your father.They know what's good for you, and if mom liked her,then surely,she must be a good one" he said.

I looked at him and shouted angrily "It's my fucking decision whom to marry.It is neither yours nor dads."

He did'nt reply but looked out of the window.There was silence between us for five minutes.

"The girl will be there today" he said again,still looking out of the window.

My thoughts went back to her.How will she react when she recognizes me?Maybe she will look down at the floor and blush with embarassment! Or maybe she will stare at me with wide eyes.

I chuckled picturing her with shocked expression.I turned towards Julian and he was watching me as if i have grown two heads.

I ignored his looks and went to my private parking place.As we entered into the office,i nodded to everyone who were greeting me and went directly to my private elevator.

"I want you to bring Mr.Lancaster into the conference hall on 13th floor,when i inform you" i talked to the receptionist on phone.

I went to the conference room and sat there reading the files which are needed for todays meeting.My dad persisted to get a PA for me,but i did'nt agree.I can do my own work,i said .But now,i'll be having one.I will be having her as my PA from today.

Julian came inside the conference room and sat beside me.

"There she is" he said and my head instantly looked at her,who was visible through the glass doors,entering into the room with her eyes glued towards the floor.
