Chapter 1: The Crash

I remember how it felt when I died.
It hurt more than anything you can imagine, it hurt more than it does when your crush rejects you, it hurt.
But here I am in my bed, my alarm waking me up.
"Aren't I supposed to be dead?" I asked myself.
I picked up my phone and checked my phone. It was the 23 may. My birthday. But that was the date yesterday. Maybe I just had a nightmare about dying.
I turned of the alarm and went to get dressed.

Hey birthday bitch! I'm picking you up in 10. Lyl. <3 - Aubrey

Aubrey was with me in the car when it crashed, I'll see if she remembers.

All of a sudden I heard tiny footsteps running up the stairs. My little sister Payton. "Cassie! Mummy said you have to come down."
"I'm coming!" I moaned. She came into my room and looked at me with her large brown eyes. "Cassie." She said.
"I already told you, I'm coming." I answered, "Now get out of my room."

She went out of the room and ran down the stairs.
I put on my cream hoodie and light blue jeans. My shirt was grey and had a small dark grey alien emoji on it. My shoes were light brown combat boots with creamy laces. I stopped to admire my self in the mirror, I would give myself a nine and a half for effort, it would have been a 10 if I didn't have that scar on my lip. I picked up my green bag and phone and went downstairs into the kitchen.
I saw Aubrey through the window, she was outside with her red Mercedes.

I went to go open the door; before I did my mum asked me, "Are you not eating anything?"
"Obviously not." I replied sarcastically. "Besides Aubrey, Ali and Kendall and I are getting breakfast at Eliza's Cafe."
Mum rolled her eyes. "Well, bye sweetheart."
"Bye mum, bye Payton."
I opened the door and and went outside and shut it quickly.
"Happy Birthday Eggplant." She punched my shoulder softly and laughed.

"Hey Aubrey." I said. "Do you remember anything about dying?"
She giggled, "No. Don't turn emo on me Cass."
It was worth a shot to ask, I'm guessing Ali and Ken won't remember either.
"Now come on, get in." She opened the car door. She went to the drivers seat and started the car, I sat next to her.
"Your so quite today Cass, are you okay?" She asked me.
"Uh, yeah." I nodded.
"I'm goina put some tunes on." She put the radio on and Selena Gomez came on, she started humming the lyrics and pulled up. We were picking up Alison. Ali came out of the house and waved at us. She had long brown hair which was as straight as a line. She wore red boots and a black dress. She had a white leather jacket on too.
To me Ali is like the moon, She is bright but has a darkside beneath her.

She got into the back seat of the car, "Happy Birthday Cass." She smiled.
"Let's go pick up kenzie then." She instructed Aubrey.
"As you wish Ali." Bree said.

We drove past five streets and went past a roundabout then we toke a left turn. I saw Kenzie and waved. She ran to us and got in the car and sat next to Ali. She got something out of her 'Kitty' bag and gave it me, "Happy Birthday."
"Thanks." I Smiled.

We drove to school while singing to songs and talking about boys and high school stuff.
Eventually we got there, it was a large building with red bricks, the doors were mainly all grey.
"I had this really strange dream yesterday." Kenzie said.
We all looked at her strange. "I like died in a car crash or something."
Kendall was in the car too. All four of us died. Aubrey and Ali don't remember though.
"Really?" I asked her. "If it was a dream, I was dreaming the same thing."
Kendall looked at me as if I was a ghost. It was like she could see right through me.
We all got out of the car and walked to class together.
"Hi girls." Miss Williams said.
"Morning Miss." We replied.

That moment I remembered the glass hitting my body, the car rolling over and hitting the road, the pain of it all, the scars and cuts it left on my body, we all died that night, in Aubrey's car..

"Hello!?" Aubrey shouted. "Stop zoning out you weirdo."
"Sorry."
In class we were learing about how the body shuts itself down when it dies. It was interesting but the teacher Mr Davids was boring.
Matt tapped me on the back, handing me a note, I opened it and began to read it in my head.
Meet me in the cafeteria at lunch. Ly Matt.
I nodded at him and turned around to see grumpy old Mr Davids giving me an angry look, "Something you'd like to say to everyone Cassadra?"
"No sir." I replied.
"Good, now start listening young lady." Mr Davids said.
"Yes sir."

In the cafeteria I sat next to Ali, Aubrey and Kenzie were on the opposite side of the table.
"I'm just going to go talk to Matt." I told them.
Aubrey rolled her eyes "Go quick then lovebird."

I walked to Matt, he was sat next to his friends. I gave him a small kiss and asked him. "What do you want then?"
"I just wanted to say happy birthday."
He kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me, "Go back to your friends then." I walked to Alison and sat down and smiled.
Kendall looked at me, "You know that dream."
"Not now Kendall." Aubrey interrupted. "It's Cass's birthday. You can tell us about your stupid dream tomorrow."
"Fine." Kendall spat.

Today is the 23 of may, Today is the day I die. I don't know that yet,
But I will soon.
