I was swimming with Mabel near the surface due to a dare from Pacifica.
We were relaxing on rocks near the land.
Honk!
I look over seeing a ship that I didn't recognize but froze seeing a pirate flag.
Yes, I know what a pirate flag looks like for Grunkle Stan told me the difference between a pirate and a merchant....
I whispered to Mabel, "Mabel. We need to go now!"
I pointed at the ship when she started to question me....
We jumped off the rocks into the water but stopped swimming when the ship blocked us in the cove like cave between the land and the open ocean....
I looked at Mabel afraid....
Mabel pointed out a gap between the ship and the ocean floor...
I nodded. We swam towards the gap.
As we swam under the ship and smiled as we started to speed away from the ship, I was jerked to stop crying out in pain.
I looked back to see my varying shades of blue that made up my tail were caught in netting....
I swung around grabbing the weird rope/strings with my claws and teeth and started trying to tear it apart.
Mabel turned back to see me stuck and swam back furiously helping...
I pulled and tugged only to have more netting throw and tossed around me making it harder to move....
I yelled at Mabel, "swim away now!"
She cried and shook her head grabbed the ropes trying to free me.
We both panicked seeing the ropes and netting holding me were moving fast towards the surface..
Mabel let go of the netting only to yell, "I'm going to get help!"
My body slowly went limp as I was pulled out the water.....
The netting holding me dropped down on a hard surface that felt nothing like the rocks on land that I sunbathed on.....
I heard yelling all around me....
The netting came partially loose where I hissed at people trying to touch me....
Someone, I think it was a girl, yelled. "CAPTAIN!"
