ring ring ring... ring ring ringLittle Emily races into her grandfather's old room - where he kept his huge machine with an always black screen on top - and spots where the ringer noise is coming from. She immediately lights up at the blinking red bulb.
She was never allowed in this room, but no matter what her grandfather's word was, she was always a curious kitty.
"Vroooom vrooom bloooo ffrrr ahh ha ha haa!" Her baffled little baby voice goes. She happily slams her babyish hands all over the key panel - ignoring the increasing sound of the robotic voice - hitting every blinking light she could find.
The screen above started making staticky noises and digital noises. The words at the top of the screen read: Connecting Call.
The distorted voice slowly making sense as it tried to speak, "he-hell-hello- hell-hell-hello Emmm- hello Emil-hell," all the while, the beeping noises and the familiar sound of a record player being repeatedly rewinded.
"Hello Emily," it finally said, which caused Emily to gaze up at the silver and reddish screen. An older woman with similar features as Emily stood tall on the screen - which contained the numbers "227" big and bold on the top left side of the screen.
"Hiii!" Greeted little Emily with a grin as wide as the ocean plastered on her face.

A U T H O R' S N O T E
It's sort of ironic how this particular chapter literally has 227 words. I don't know, I found it ironic. By the way, I'm only 15, so excuse me if the book is of distaste to you.
