HEATH

Blinking lights and the busy streets of New York keep me up at night. My brain never shuts off. I'm always thinking. I enjoy it. My doctors tells me it's unhealthy, so she put me on sleeping pills. I never use them.

I look through my pictures at night. My polaroids. I've never missed a moment worth capturing, especially with my family. I miss them. My parents and sisters died in a car accident two years ago. My life took a huge turn after that. They left me their fortune and business, that makes me the youngest millionaire in the US, maybe even the world since I'm eighteen.

My parents owned a technology company called Ledger & Family. It was just Ledger before my parents had my sisters and I, but they wanted all of us to be part of it. I haven't changed a thing since they died. I know change is good but I'm not ready to let go of what my father has built. It's like killing the last part of him that I have.

I bought a loft ampartment with some of the money they left me. I kept the house. I'm gonna move it to it when I'm ready and my loft is closer to my school, John Adams High School. I'm in my senior year.

My parents always told me "Never play with fire, you'll get burned." I never thought I would get burnt so bad. She burnt me, but she never intended to.
