The first doorbell, and I froze. I was standing in the kitchen, right next to Rick, as he created some food seemingly out of thin air. He looked at me with a worried smile, and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Everything's going to be fine." He whispered.
Meanwhile, Summer answered the door, and a large amount of people showed up. Rick glanced at me, as if he was afraid I'd disappear if he didn't keep his eyes on me, and placed the food onto the dinning room table.
Some music began blasting through the house, teens were bringing alcohol, aliens were bringing drugs, and this damn place was too loud. Outside wasn't any better, in fact, it was way worse.
I couldn't find Rick anywhere, or Morty, or Summer, and I was beginning to worry. That was until I heard the excited yells from a crowed back inside.
I rushed towards them, pushing and shoving my way through the drunken crowed, to see Rick doing some drinking competition with some kid.
I sighed, and his eyes met mine. He looked incredibly drunk, only to become nearly completely sober when his gaze met mine. He shook his head, and his eyes widened.
"(Y/N)?!" He yelled, watching me disappear back into the crowd.
I heard him yell several more times, but he wasn't fast enough. I walked out the front door, into my dark, depressing house. I walked to the door, and realized a two crucial things.
1. The door was kicked in.
2. The garage door was open, and empty.
Everything was gone. Anything important to me, or my late grandfather, was gone. A single tear ran down my face, and I turned back around and sat on the porch.
A few moments later, Rick came rushing outside, towards me. He had a look of desperation in his eyes, and sighed in relief as he saw my body engulfed in the darkness of the night.
"(Y/N), I am so, so so so so sorry." He said, rushing to my side. "I-I couldn't find you, and a bunch of kids offered me a drink, and they wouldn't let me leave."
"It's fine."
"I told them, 'I gatta find my girl,' and they laughed-"
"Rick I said it was fine." I said.
"What?"
"It's okay, I'm used to it by now. I thought, maybe there was a chance somebody would actually talk to me. I knew you would find your alien friends, probably get drunk enough to forget I existed, and I would deal with the aftermath in the morning.
"I wanted to make sure you weren't dead when I left, and when I saw you having a good time, sure I was mad, but I couldn't be too mad at the fact the person I love is having the time of his life-"
"(Y/N) people were wondering where'd you gone." He stated simply. "They said you looked worried, but were nice enough to wave back at them. When you ran out, some people even wanted to start a search party for you, course they were all drunk but still...
"Nobody here wants to hurt you, and if they did, they would have to kill me in order to even lay a hand on you. Go, enjoy yourself. I can't be happy knowing my princess isn't..."
I looked down and sighed. "My whole house was robbed."
He looked at the door, and grunted. "Great, just what you needed today..."
I could only chuckle. "Whatever, its better that way so I can move on... ya know?"
He nodded his head, and lifted my chin, closing the gap between us. I could taste the alcohol, as my face grew very hot. I closed my eyes, and leaned in, and his hand found its way into my hair. I wrapped my hands around his neck, and he pushed me down onto the step.
