"Thank you Rick." I smiled, walking back through the portal.

"Anything for my princess." He replied, kissing my cheek as he walked slightly faster than me.

A blush appeared on my face as he walked to the large window, almost inspecting outside. I shrugged and walked to the living room, where Morty and Summer sat laughing. Beth was asleep from the long night at her work, and the stress of being a single mother, and the only source of income, didn't help at all.

I knew Rick wanted to do more for her, but he couldn't just sell his things. The government would quickly turn them into weapons, and start world war three. When I brought it up, he's stated that several Ricks were assassinated, while the others blew up from a bomb somebody made out of the item.

I didn't push any further.

"(Y/N)!" Morty smiled. "C-Come on! Ball fondlers is on!"

I sat down in the middle of Summer and Morty, as dirty joke after dirty joke was made, causing the living room to erupt in laughter. I heard the garage door slammed, and I sighed. Morty gave a sympathetic smile.

"I-I'm sure everything's fine, (Y/N)."

"Nothing's ever fine." I replied sighing.

A large beeping sound was heard, and the windows were covered by some metal material. My eyes went wide as the other two just sighed. I stood up, and turned around.

"Da hell?" I asked them.

"Rick probably felt-"

We were cut off by Rick, who was sprinting to the stairwell. We stayed quiet as we heard Ricks frantic voice to wake Beth up, and Beth's confused voice.

Mortys eyes went wide. "This isn't good..."

I barley had time to react before Rick picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder as he told the others to run to the basement. He followed quickly behind, with me in hand, as he watched them climb down into some hole in the floor.

He placed me down, and looked at me. He was panicking. Rick Sanchez doesn't panic... this absolutely cannot be good.

"Go down, protect them. Please." He said breathlessly.

"I'm not leaving." I shook my head, a lump forming in my throat. "I-I can't leave someone I love to get hurt, Rick. I've hid like a coward so many times, this won't be one of them."

"Quit playing hero!" He snapped. "Please! Just go!"

"No!" I yelled, the tears clouding my vision.

"(Y/N)-"

A blast cut him off, as the shield basically broke in half. Another blast blew the garage door towards us, covering the basement entrance. I was blown towards Rick, as we hit the wall. I landed a few feet away from him, as he dizzily attempted to stand.

"We can do this two ways Kid, A man said walking into the garage, "I can kill Rick, and take you, or I can take you and Rick lives."

"(Y-Y/N)..." Rick coughed, the blood from his head and nose forming a small puddle on the ground.

"Promise me." I said, wobbling as I pulled myself to my feet. "You won't lay a hand on him if I go. You, and who ever else you work for, will leave Rick alone."

He nodded. "Deal."

I turned to Rick, to see his pained expression. The mixture of his blood and tears expanding on the floor. "I love you..." I said, turning around before I began to regret my decision.

I heard him yell my name, and I just kept walking. My heart ached for me to turn back. My mind screamed not to trust this man. Yet my body kept walking, all the way to a strange spaceship, as we took off into the stars.

I closed my eyes, the silence of the vehicle overwhelming me even more. My breath began to quicken, and I hid my face in my hands.

"You did the right thing, kid." The man said. "My boss would have killed him, in fact they ordered me to. Yet they wanted you unharmed."

"Stop calling me kid." I snapped, my throat burning from my tears. "My name is (Y/N)."

"George." He smiled. "Well, were here, (Y/N)."

He landed the vehicle, and I opened my door. It was a giant castle.

I walked out, and looked up, only to see somebody I never thought I'd see again.

"Mom?!"

Unimportant A/N

So middle of Advisory (Basically a break or study hall for my entire school) I decided to start writing this. About halfway through (towards the sad part) I began crying, and people asked what happened.

I turned to them and said "I'm watching the world Burn," and then placed my phone on the table, and began sobbing into time sweatshirt.

My friend took one look at my phone and laughed "don't write sad chapters if you don't want to cry about it."

I have great friends lol.

Let me tell you, this was a lot sadder before I remade it...
