-Arylla-
My dream started with the light. It haunted my dream. It spoke, saying things like "Your in my territory now..." or "Your mind is so easy to see into." and made it hard to actually sleep. Then, my dream changed and I was running in a black tube with purple specks on them. The road was slippery and cracked beneath me. I looked behind me and saw the road behind me was gone. All I saw was the black and purple void behind me. I turned back around and ran faster, but the cracks were larger every time I stepped and I fell into the void and felt no more. It was dark for a while, then that light came back. Dumb light. I watched it grow brighter and brighter till I couldn't look anymore. I covered my eyes, but the light could not leave. I blacked out again and then I woke up. I wiped my forehead, it was apparently sweating. This room felt more like a hospital room. It had a better mood and air than the other room I woke up in. I looked around. This one had paintings of the sea or the mountains(as there was two) and another aquariam, this one thankfully had it's fish and other inhabitants still alive. I sighed. This is so new, I think. So new.
-Lightning Strike-
I walked down the hallway, my spine tingling like there was someone behind me. But everytime I look back, there's no one there. The world tree is so big, I would get lost in it. I just want to pull some lightning out of the sky and burn it all down, striking it over and over again. But I wouldn't. There's a treaty, between the humans and the fae. I'm apart of both, half fae and half human. I don't belong. I have powers a human shouldn't have, and no wings like the fae have. I pushed my long black hair back, going at a steady jog down the wooden hallway. Seeing one of the tree faeries, I ran towards her to ask where I was, when she sneered at me and flew off. Jerk. Most of the fae hate me.
There are a lot of fae in the world. There are the tree fae, the fire fae, the earth fae, the water fae, and, the one that I can get along with, the storm fae. But, sadly, they are not welcome in the world of fae, being the most destructive kind of their kin. They are really nice, if you are half fae. The only time I feel accepted in the fae world is when I'm with them. And because of this, the other kinds of fae hate me.
I turned into another doorway, which, instead of a hallway, turned into a room with a girl in it. We locked gazes, her sea green eyes looking straight into my grey ones. She was the one who spoke first.
"Who are you? And why are you in my room?" Her voice was high pitched, and it hurt my
ears to listen to it. I pushed my hair back behind my shoulders, because it seemed like everytime I pushed it back it came back in front of my shoulders everytime. Ug.
"To answer your first question, I'm Lightning. Lightning Strike. To answer your second question, I'm....lost." She looked questioningly at me. "Lightning? Is that your real name?" So inqusitive. "Yes, it is." She mouthed a silent ohhh, and then said, "My name is Arylla. I appeared here for some reason. After I saw a light in a tree...." Arylla. That's a fae name, but she doesn't seem fae. She seems human. But then I saw the pointed ears. The long and slender body of a fae. She must be half human, like me, I thought.
She asked more questions. "Do you know where we are? At all? And what's going on? I'm really confused." She smiled, and I smiled back, eager to meet this girl and talk to her about the fae world. I saw a white seat on the edge of the room, grabbed it, and took a seat on the left side of the bed.
"So, we are at the World Tree. The Yggdrasil. Whatever you want to call it. You are in it." She gasped. "So it is true. The World Tree is true!" "Yes, it is true. All of it. For the second question, it looks like your half fae and half human. I am too. My father is human and my mother was a storm fae. I am an only child. I'm wondering what kind of fae your mother was." I drifted off, wondering which one she was. She had brown hair, which could be the earth fae, but those sea green eyes could tell me that her mother was a water fae. Wait....
