Done with the Bottle

I sighed and looked around my flat. Boxes were still in random places due to fan mail being dropped off at my PO Box and it was cluttering my dark sitting room. I really need to cancel that thing and tell fans and my publisher to stop sending gifts to it. I don't even have room for half of this shit! I thought to myself before sighing helplessly and beginning to go through all of the fanmail.

As I was doing this, I felt like I was being watched and it gave me that familiar uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I've had this feeling come and go my whole life, but the past year it has become more frequent and has gotten stronger. Deciding to give in and look around, I saw nothing except my things, proving to me that I was alone. I shrugged it off and went back to going through my boxes before I heard something crash in my kitchen. I jumped out of my skin and looked over to the closed off space that looked too dark before grabbing the nearest thing to me, a remote, and walking to the kitchen with it held over my head, ready to strike anything that popped out at me. Biting my lip as I entered the kitchen, I saw a figure hunched over, trying to pick up pieces of a broken coffee mug up quickly while muttering to themselves about being a clumsy mess. Their voice didn't sound normal, and it freaked me out a little before I cleared my throat, making the figure jump in surprise.

"Scorpina!!! Don' scare me like t'at!!" So it was male, but it didn't sound human whatever it was.

"Who are ye and how do ye know my name!?" I yelled, still ready to hit the figure if I needed to. Looking around, I realized I had no windows in my kitchen as well. "And how did ye get in!!?" My voice was shaky, but I tried to put my fear behind me as the figure sighed and approached me slowly, its hands out in defense.

"Just calm down, lass. I'm not gonna hurt ye, I swear! Just relax and put ye hands down and we can talk, OK?" The voice broke here and there, like a glitching video or something, and I was confused as my body listened to what it was saying and put the remote down. I backed away from the mass in my kitchen and it followed until it was out in the light, making a small gasp leave my lips. This person looked familiar, like I had seen the face before but it had never looked like this. Black eyes, deep and piercing, stared at me with an apologetic look. The thing was definitely male and nearly looked human except for those eyes, gauged ears were slightly pointed and when he opened up his mouth to speak, his canines were a bit longer and sharper than normal. His green hair was a bit messy and as I looked at him, he looked like that Irish YouTuber that lived in the same town as I did.

"I know ye are scared and confused, but I promise I mean no harm. I have been watching you, Scorpina, and while ye may find t'at creepy, I have my reasons and I will share t'em wit' ye when t'e time is right. I have been trying ta protect ye, t'ough I know I haven't done t'e best of jobs.... Wit' school and yer uncle and all... I.... I didn't have my own form t'en and was still too young! Had I been able ta, I promise t'ose t'ings would NOT have happened!" He seemed to be getting angry at himself and for some reason, I felt sympathy towards him.

"Why do ye have a form now?" I asked and looked him over to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

"I am still working on it being permanent, but I gained a form when my normal half gave me acknowledgement. Sadly, still comes and goes but I can keep it longer day by day. I just.... I had to see ye! Make sure ye were alright as it has been a while...." The male said softly, taking a step to me and then another until he was right in front of me. He reached up and I felt his hands go through the teal side of my hair and I looked to him with grey eyes.

"Ye still haven't said who ye are." I grumbled out, causing him to chuckle but give me a sincere look filled with some emotion I had never seen before, but it looked kind.

"Anti, love. My name is Anti... "He whispered again before his form started to disappear, causing him to look at himself and curse audibly. He looked at me helplessly before sighing. "There will be sometimes where ye won't see me, but I am always here to protect ye, just call my name for any reason and I will be here, visible or not!" Those were the last words I heard though he said something else, he was no longer in front of me and I was confused. Rubbing my eyes, I decided it was late and I needed sleep, or I passed out on the couch and this was all some weird dream.

Anti's POV

I punched a dumpster in the alley as I was angry at not being able to tell Scorpina everything before I disappeared. Growling to myself, I walked over to the entrance of the alley, waiting for a victim to take my rage out on. I had to kill to be seen, but I was also just so pissed off that I disappeared in front of her like that, let alone got caught this early by her. I told myself I wasn't going to let her notice me until I could keep my form up for good! Way to go back on words, and since she noticed me, I had to talk to her. I had been waiting years, since we were children, to do so. Back then, I was still living in my other half, though and didn't have powers yet.

Thinking, I finally saw my victim as a drunk came stumbling down the street. As he got to the entrance to my alley, I grabbed him and yanked him back before using the dumpster to crush his skull. Bits of brain and skull went everywhere as the wheel of the dumpster ran over the male's head and I cackled to myself, gaining my form back and walking back the four blocks to Scorpina's flat. I looked at her through the window before seeing she was asleep on the couch. Quietly, I opened the window and crept in, looking at her peaceful features. She was thin and frail looking, and in sleep she looked fragile and vulnerable. Her snow white skin illuminated the moon light coming through and her short form didn't even take up the last cushion of the couch, making her about five feet and two inches tall. I smiled down at her and parted her hair from her face. The two toned hair had me chuckling as half of it was its natural black while the other half was dyed teal and her bangs were alternated so the teal in her bangs was on the black side and the black was on the teal side.

Studying her face, it was flawless. Slender jawline, noticeable yet soft cheekbones, full flush lips and a small nose that held a stud in the left nostril and a horseshoe hoop in her septum just added to her beauty.

Damn, you've grown up, lass. I'm happy that I get to have ye... If you'll take me that is...... I thought to myself before going to her room and grabbing her FNAF throw blanket and heading downstairs to put it on her. Walking back to the window, I took one last glance at Scorpina's sleeping form before leaving into the night.
