I put my phone down without even responding to Jack and went over to Anti, though he scared me right now. His appearance was darker and his whole body was rigid while some of his muscles were twitching. I stood in front of him and looked up at him. His head was angled down and he was muttering to himself, but I still managed to catch his gaze and once I did, he slowly started turning his face towards mine and his muttering soon stopped. Finally we were both standing there, staring at each other and I reached up and touched his cheek, still weary of him. He leaned into my touch quickly and covered my hand with his to keep it where it was as he closed his eyes in content.
"May I ask what's wrong?" I whispered, not wanting to ruin this moment, but not liking seeing him so aggitated. His eyes opened and he sighed before pulling me to him in a hug, resting his cheek against the top of my head.
"I..... I don't want ya ta be pulled in to him.... He..... If it were anyone else, I wouldn't care because I could t'reaten, harm or kill them, but as t'is is my alter ego, anyt'ing t'at happens ta him pain or wellness-wise, happens ta me too...... I just, I don't want him ta take you away!" Anti sounded like he was nearly in tears and it broke my heart. We hadn't really admitted to being a thing and I was happy we were taking it slow, though the fun with Colton was amusing, it was just that. Anti, though, was so sweet and not as hyper as Jack. Yeah, sure, he had his moments and with being the loud green haired man's alter, I didn't hold that against him at all. I moved my head and looked up at him.
"I don't plan on going away with him.... We never even talked until yesterday, ta be honest.... Even when we went to school toget'er..... We were bot' different types of outcasts, I suppose." I sighed at the thought of school and Anti hugged me tighter as he made sure to keep eye contact. "I don't plan on suddenly falling for him.... He didn't do much in t'e past when he knew me, so I'm not interested in him now." I leaned against Anti and he kissed my forehead.
"I would have if I could. I'm so sorry I wasn't t'ere for ya and I couldn't control him to at least help ya sometimes, eit'er! I..... I hate myself for t'at, really." Anti mumbled and I couldn't help but smile softly and get on my tips toes to kiss his cheek.
"It wasn't your fault, ye weren't free yet." I said softly, tapping his nose before reluctantly moving away from him. His embrace felt amazing and for some reason I didn't want to move, but I had to if I wanted to distract him. "How 'bout we watch t'at film, yeah?" I smiled at him to let him know my attention was on him and he gave me a relieved smile back and walked up to me, kissing my forehead again before going to my movies to pick one out as I sat down.
"I put in a series of Paranormal Witness!" Anti said happily as he jumped onto the couch next to me, which caused me to fall into his open chest. He gave me a sly grin as he wrapped his arms around me and lay back so the arm of the couch was against his back. "T'ere, all nice and comfy now." He mumbled softly as he held me closer. I was shocked for a little while before I finally let my body relax and nuzzled against him, looking to the television. I didn't see the loving smile he had on his face as I got lost into the series of supposedly true stories, some of them creeping me out or some of the "ghosts" making me flinch or cringe due to them popping out or just their appearance. The whole time, despite me sometimes seeming scared, Anti just smiled through it all and held me closer whenever I whimpered or clutched on to his black shirt.
"Shhhhh, love. No one will get you, I promise." He whispered after I yelped softly due to a ghost of a woman about my age, all cut up with her tongue gone and an eye missing. Apparently the story was she was home alone, waiting for her roommate to get back, when a man came in through her basement and then proceeded to torture her for two hours before finally cutting out her tongue and letting her bleed out. Living alone, that terrified me, and I couldn't help the sound that left my mouth. Not because she scared me, but her background story terrified me to no end. I couldn't get it out of my mind as the season ended and I looked at the time to see it was eight. We had started the series at noon, so that makes sense. I slowly removed myself from Anti and smiled down at him, pecking his nose and then heading to the kitchen. I blinked as I didn't see any mess from this afternoon, confused as I bit my lip. Anti came in behind me and leaned up against the threshold.
