Newt Scamander rolled out of bed late that morning, and found the bed across the room empty. Beside him, his Niffler was sleeping soundly next to him, a rare occasion for the creature.
"She must be awake already." Newt thought to himself, and climbed out of bed, pulling on his bathrobe and heading to the kitchen of the little house that they were staying in.
When he went in, he found himself shaking his head at the sight of the girl with curly brown hair and pale skin, in her nightgown, asleep at the kitchen table, her little Pygmy Puff that went with her everywhere sleeping beside her. He walked over quietly, and found that she was laying on a newspaper, over an article about Gellert Grindelwald, making him shake his head.
Ever since Newt and his sister had graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they had been on a wild excursion across the world to study magical creatures. But Grindelwald, the greatest dark wizard of the time, was on the loose, and Newt's sister was constantly worried about them ending up in a position where they needed to run from him. Newt didn't think it would happen, but he didn't dare argue with her. She didn't look it, but his sister was pretty tough.
"Noah." Newt whispered, going over to her sleeping figure and gently shaking her shoulder. "Noah, wake up." She groaned and waved her arm wildly, trying to bat him away.
"Go away." She grumbled. "I'm sleeping." Newt sighed.
"Have you been here all night?" She finally opened her blue eyes that matched his.
"So what if I have?" She asked. "I was just reading." He smiled.
"Well, now you have the story printed on your face." He told her. "The ink came off on your cheek." That got her up in a second.
"What!" She exclaimed, waking up her Pygmy Puff, Jove, with a start. She hurried into the bathroom, and groaned when she saw that Newt had been lying.
"You absolute git!" She shouted, coming over and playfully beating on Newt's chest, making him laugh as he grabbed her wrists and held them there so that she couldn't beat him. "Oi! That's cheating and you know it!" She told him, stomping her foot as she tried to pull her wrists out of his hands.
"No its not!" He giggled, not letting go. "Its called strength!" That was when Jove climbed up Newt's leg and tried to climb all the up his body to get to his nose so that he could tickle Newt's nose and distract him. "Ah! Jove! That tickles!" Newt exclaimed, and Noah saw her chance to escape, twisting out of Newt's hands and reaching under his arms to tickle his stomach, making him laugh harder. "Ah! No! Stop it!" He laughed, holding his stomach and trying to back away from the two, but they wouldn't let up.
"I think you should stop trying to back up, Newt." Noah told him.
"And why's - hahahaha! - that?" He asked, before finding himself collapsing into the sink, bottom first! Noah couldn't contain her laughter for the life of her.
"That's why!" She laughed, holding her stomach. Even Jove appeared to be laughing at Newt, who was struggling to get out of the sink, and knocked into the handle, turning on the sink and soaking his bathrobe, pyjamas, and hair.
"Gah!" He exclaimed, trying to get it off, but Noah used a flick of her wand to make the handle stick. "Noah! Let me out!" He shouted, finally managing to jump out of the sink and stood there, water dripping.
"Don't let water drip onto the floor!" She shouted, summoning a few towels and threw some over Newt and the rest onto the floor so that the water would be soaked up, then turning off the sink as Jove dragged over a towel and mopped up as much water as he could, even though the towel was heavy for the tiny creature. "It'll ruin the floor!" Newt pulled a towel off from over his face so he could see her and rubbed at his wet hair.
"Sorry about that, Noah! But, its kind of your fault! If you hadn't trapped me in the sink, then I wouldn't have gotten wet at all!" Noah gasped dramatically, as if he had wrongfully accused her.
"Well! I've never been more insulted in my life! You dare accuse me of trapping you in our kitchen sink on the day we're supposed to be entering into America to release the Graphorns?" Newt rung out a towel onto Jove an his towel, soaking the Pygmy Puff and his towel. Jove squeaked in protest.
"Yes, Noah, I do accuse you of such actions. As I am now dripping all over the place." Noah giggled.
"Well, at least now you don't need a bath tonight!" Then she tapped herself with her wand, and she was at once dressed in a long blue coat with a brown dress, knee high stockings, and little brown shoes to match, a yellow and black scarf around her neck. "Now get dressed! We're heading for New York!
